Very simple. EA wants next gen version to look amazing so they downgraded current gen to look worse. I expect next gen version to look nice but not amazing.

Could be because they are offering free upgrade to nextgen. Probably focused more on perfecting that version cause depending on console sales the game will be played more on those systems than the current.

@@HeenaPatel253 not really dude. When you take into prospective things like load times.. I mean there plenty of videos demonstrating the difference. Right now it's mainly load time frame rate etc. Until everyone can get a monitor / TV to complement.. there is always a transition period where the differences are more so QoL than graphics.

Thank you so much for this. I downloaded the game to play free and I thought it looked worse than 20 but thought I was just imagining but it's good to see it wasn't just me. I happen to like Madden and I'm not a Madden basher like most but really, the graphics got worse. Unbelievable, I am starting to understand why people hate this game.

I’d say the graphics in 21 got better especially with the likeness of the players becoming more realistic. However, the game play sucks in 21. The game play in 20 is far better. If I could switch the graphics in 20 for 21 and keep the gameplay the game would be far better.

I think this is because they are saving the resolution as a patch for post new console launches. It's a dirty cheap trick to make it seem like they did something when they didn't, but this will be verified in November when the Xbox Series launches.

They basically just played with the lighting. If you look at the drew breeze photo the wrinkles on the jersey are the exact same in both photos just with different lighting

On madden20n21 the don't even blink there eyes when they get hit like they did on madden#19 Cuz when me and my friends hit it on replay when they get hit hard they would close there eyes or even blink like they are real people and they have no emotions it like ok what ever next lol

Does anyone have a clue how much longer EA sports as a deal with the NFL? This is such crap, we can’t keep buying this because their ROI is telling them a different story that we are happy with the product!!! All we need is one year of not buying it… Suck it up people. The crappy thing is that little kids every year will be in that “new to madden” stage, so they will always have that. Let them lose everyone else’s business. I’m looking for totally different gameplay, different graphics, a game that you can be able to differentiate which year is being played. Imagine if any other game tried to pull that crap?!

That’s so weird to me that the game looks darker on 21, I’ve had to lower the brightness level on the game on 21 because it is so bright at times compared to 20.

Great video. Really shows how EA doesnt give a fuck anymore and will just recycle a game with absolutely no changes, and in some cases revert back to lesser quality to implement more MUT cashgrabs! Only buying a madden game every 3 years still, as that's about how often there's actually something new.

ZEKE LOOKS LIKE HE’S WINCING FROM A FUMBLE THIS SEASON FROM THE 21 COMPARISON! EA sports needs to get lost… They suck so bad! I enjoyed NFL2K5 or whatever, year TO was on the cover more than I do these games. We literally waste our money because of the new franchise schedule, and the fact that we are too lazy to make every single free agent Trade in the game. Used to be able to upload NCAA roster, which had the Rookies. They probably got rid of that game because people like myself were smart enough to download the names of the players, and upload them into Madden for the draft. What a disappointment Madden has been… I refuse to get it going forward. I’ve never not gotten it since SUPER NINTENDO DAYS!!! It was literally a Christmas gift every single year… Garbage.

I played a packers game in clear day at Greenbay and thought it was too bright,had to go to settings and turn down default brightness to darker.

I've noticed too that 21 is overall darker. I like some of the added detail but I am not sure why the went darker; makes some details harder to see. Perhaps holding back the graphics for the PS5 a bit in terms of added sharpness? We'll see

Made the qb throw release too quick, the field feels to big for the zones to cover the middle so the slower release balance this in madden 20. No reward to passing and it feels cheap. All you have to do in madden 21 is run four verts and hot route the outside to slant up the middle and he would get open everytime, this boring and games feel like a glitchfest. Suction tackles are back and juking feels like a roll of the dice. Lame lame game. The only thing that is better is the highlights are slightly longer so you might get a glimpse of a play action in the instant replay.

I think it looks worse than 20 overall. It looks like they're definately waiting till 21 on the next gen systems to improve the graphics. I think I'll just keep playin 20 and wait for 22 since we'll definately see an improvement since they want to show off the capacities of the new systems. It would be nice if the PC version was designed separately but it looks like a port of the consoles every year.

First version will next version maybe but then instead of leaving it alone they try to trick console players into think graphic are being updated by adjusting lighting and shadowing because at some point the engine reaches a max it can do with the console power.

@@joelarson6658 lol I see it went over your head context is everything. yeah when they are improved like ray tracing for example not by adjusting the look of lighting effects/shadows to make the game look different than the previous version without actually improving it that's how you end up with older versions potentially looking better.
