@@BakaSigma1 bro I ended up getting it for both ps4 and ps5 besides momentum and small graphical upgrades the games are nearly exactly the same. The running is a bit more realistic in the next gen but it’s really not worth it, I’ve been playing madden 16 with roster updates and have been having a blast.

Played the ten hour trial on PS5 and already noticed the pre game warmups (what the players are doing on the field) is pretty much the same every game. The QB does that little ball toss animation with the shrugging shoulders every single time

I stopped buying them for that reason. Year after year of a half-assed product. The next gen actually looks like it’s trying to take a step forward. The movement is the standout. Cutting at top speed and then running with no momentum change is so unrealistic. Glad they looked to correct that.

@@gameimprovements4347 true but, you need funding and a team to make a AAA game. Don’t think there’s a lot of coders willing to work for free. Madden was a game that thrived on innovation and being cutting edge. Ever since 2k got washed out by the NFL solely dealing with EA, EA has slowly improved each year. Nothing like it use to. Maybe it’s the year to year deadlines to just cash grab or it’s too many bugs to fix on updates. Again something a team of coders would have to fix.

Look at all the subs on these channels and all the thousands that agree.. You're telling me you can't find at least 10 people with enough time to start learning the engine...? I understand the game day dynamic which is only supported by P5 but it’s not hard to update the pre games with a few extra scenes. But it’s no biggie. I rather they focused on gameplay.

I think the biggest part people missed is the running. It's not just animation. This is only a guess but it's probably an entirely new set of run physics. That's why they went with the realistic foot plant, etc... Now here is the great part. Eventually, they will be able to put special x factors for players that seem to defy the typical run physics.

@@Aggie26 that’s not true, old gen is still getting updates like the new scenarios, the coaching staff, the weekly strategy and the scouting when it comes out, it’s only really the game day momentum and game day presentation that’s not getting updated, and honestly at of all the things they’re adding that’s the least important in my opinion.

Listen don't let EA fool you the PS4 and Xbox one were very powerful consoles and we never got the best football game capable on these systems go look at games like Ghost of tsushima, the last of us, God of war, Horizon, breath taking graphics. EA has low budget lazy developers

I wish they would take a year off and get the gameplay and other major issues right. They always say their just isn’t enough time in a year development cycle to fix and add all of the stuff we want. They’ll never do that because they don’t want to give up a year of sales but we are really being screwed as football fans by EA having the exclusive simulation NFL license. This game is broke. Honestly, I understand most of the differences between current and next gen. Like gameplay animations, textures of the characters, weather, crowd. The changes I really do not get are the Super Bowl celebration, pre-game footage (like FIFA actually has this since like 05, normal pre-game footage) and also the momentum mechanic. How on earth would the momentum mechanic not be possible on current gen??? Also as a PC player I am annoyed in general that it doesn't have next gen version...

I'm surprised nobody mentioned the more realistic movement, that's huge for someone who hates the robotic, sharp movements of how models move in game, finally some realistic movement having to compensate for momentum

I find running more difficult on the series x which is good. Though I did have to completely alter my play style due to the new run system. Just wasn’t working for me started passing a lot more

Last year was the first madden j bought since 2013. I bought it again this year and now fully understand the pain of madden fans. Current gen got absolutely nothing new but a better quarterback for the bears.

If u want a next gen just save 300 bucks and get it. I’m 12 years old and saved money for 3 months and can afford it. I washed cars mowed lawns rake campground sites and more stuff like that. The series s isn’t the preferred but it’s basically the same besides it’s not 4000hd or whatever. Other than that it’s a really good console and just like these. It’s a good purchase if you can save for it.

@@taylor860gang yeah, sadly im not very impressed with graphics on 22 for current gen, basically the only difference i see is slapped on fave scans and thats all, same presentations and stuff. Hopefully the gameplay is fixed

My PC has double the processing power new gen consoles have its amazing how they give PC the current Gen version of the game when most PCs are faster than new gen consoles
