Madden 24 - Why Its So Bad. 

Ryan is 100% right. You can't patch issues that are fundamentally part of the very core of the game functions and its very engine. This is broken, animation-based code that is literally 10-15 years old. It's astonishing.

The game needs to be rebuilt from the ground up: New lighting system New physics engine New logic system Character, modeling redesign Dynamic variable, audio commentary system Branching dynamic cut scene engine. The NFL needs to work with video game companies, presently (EA), to create a viable simulation environment for training with their players. This in turn will help innovate the game for the end consumer.

This game is so bad it feels unfinished and weird

Moody needs to get on Pat McAfee podcast. Every year he covers this game and there needs to be someone up there to breakdown these plays and how it's nowhere near sim football.

Passing is the worst it’s ever been. Inaccurate throws, drops, defense having eyes in the back of their heads. It just makes me mad.

After decades, I can barely play anymore. Any pass is broken up by a defender facing another direction. TERRIBLE

I see the game still decides when the CPU is going to make sure they win.

Ratings mean absolutely nothing on this game.

Madden is the only game franchise where if you play the games in the reverse order going from the most recent version to the year before...you'll see what appears to be continual progress 😂. Horrible.

They need to get rid of EA. NFL is just responsible for this

Yes one thing about all Maddens I've played is the receivers never come back to the quarterback or evenn try and get free once they get to their appointed spots.

I’ve had passes hit my receiver in the leg or upper body and it will say “out of reach”😂😂😂

I played Madden 2005 a few times with friends. It always feels like my defense won't try at all most of the time. They won't intercept the ball, swat it down, nothing half the time. But when it comes to a friend, the defense cpu will intercept, stay on the recievers, etc. Is there a reason for any of this? Not to mention that it feels like the game steals my control sometimes. I tried to run backwards to catch the ball on defense, I switched characters and held back on the stick... and he ran forward, and my friend got 30 or 40 yards off a pass.

When is the NFL going to wake up and take this license from EA?

Franchise cpu does whatever it wants meanwhile my 85 overall qb is 13/45 and can’t complete a pass near receivers

I ran into a guy that used 2 plays and ran with the cardinals, I lost 39-35 but his method of playing was unreal, he ran around with Murray, threw the ball backwards to wide open receivers and did the option which was basically unstoppable. I was so bored I let the computer play the 4th qtr. I looked at his stats overall and in 20 games played he has 2,500 points scored compared to 500. In 20 games he's scored 2,500 points!

EA Sports use the same algorythm as Las Vegas

Penalties are STILL broken, sliders half work

This game and many before it has a hard time registering pass interference calls

i tried to cycle through a bunch of random players in edit mode and every player had on a cowboys uniform

Why in the world won't the momentum meter go off in Franchise!!!! I have the dynamic momentum slider OFF and the Dynamic camera effects off and it still there, WHY????

Ryan I have seen your videos over the years and appreciate your honesty. I am unfortunately a (being it’s the only option) a fan and money spender on Madden since the 90s . I just wanted to let you know that if you received want some BAD MADDEN FOOTAGE, simply get video of ANYONE playing on ps4 currently/past 3+weeks has become so glitchy, sets not working and literally taking at times a half hour or more to get from lineups to navigate to the auction house. I just wanted to let you know since you are constantly beating that Madden is bad drum, that it would very much benefit you to see videos of Madden 24 currently on PS4

Even if it's a broken game, I must say it again, Clint is not to blame for poor blocking ONLY. Even though he was a professional linemen, there is a small chance he forgot how to play completely. Mr. Clint is who to blame EVERY bug, and also blame his dev team as well, because they also have done parts of the game, both good and bad.

Ea keeps failing upwards especially with the casino game mode called Ultimate team

I hate the new gen Madden games too, but you guys have been complaining about it for the last 15 years and they haven't change anything!! The bottom line is nothing will ever be changed until a new company gets the NFL licenses; thus, the competition will make EA finally improve and advance their game!!

I've wondered why it was so hated because I'm a new madded player but now this sheds light, I still like the game it's fun to play but there are most definitely flaws in the game and it's probably because it hasn't changed gameplay wise, to my knowledge the gameplay engine has remained the same for years and the last three madded games have been the same game only with the new players from each years respective drafts

When you press y to jump it locks your player so it can not jump to script the plays. So you can not pick the ball off lol
