Most media is now strictly editorial. Real journalism was founded on ideas of objective skepticism, and the gathering of facts to back up a story. But we don't want that, or rather, we don't want to PAY for that. So Rupert Murdoch turned it into entertainment. He gave us huge echo chambers of 100% editorializing: Gathering up our own opinions, dipping them in drama, and feeding them back to us. Here's what I mean: The Democrat pundit who is pretending to be a journalist in this video says that the GOP was going on about throwing millions of people out of the country. Even the title - “rambling”…. Did they actually listen to the speech? He touched on all of the important points that matter to voters in this election cycle, recounted his near assassination and consistently called for the unity of all Americans. It was brilliant… as a classically liberal (now centrist) person, his speech was warm, funny, sincere and very compelling. It is clear that these commentators have got long held dislike for him and as a result they are being very disingenuous.

I'm a moderate Dem. I thought the first 35 mivs of the speech was fine & showed his humanity and focused on unity. Afterwards he went he went back to the usual Hannibal Lechter , Nancy Pelosi, shark stories and blame game. I was waiting for what new policies he was going forward with. It felt like a WWE Fri night spectacle. I was waiting for Melania to speak to introduce her husband. Even 2 mins to soften the message, but no .
