how has the VW reliability been in your experience?

VW siempre hizo buenos autos,confiables y duraderos y aunque eran un poco más caros que sus rivales no importaba porque pagabas por un buen coche. Lamentablemente a día de hoy se nota que el dieselgate les pasó factura y ahora venden coches ya no tan fiables y de calidad bastante dudosa cualquier japonés les da mil vueltas. Volkswagen vive de la fama del pasado pero la fama se acaba en cuanto los clientes se empiezan a enfadar porque sus coches tienen que pasar por el taller bastante a menudo, sobretodo por problemas de software que en Volkswagen es una auténtica mierda de sistema que no da más que fallos , esto lo saben en VW y lo intentan solucionar veremos como lo hacen. Pd:Soy dueño de un VW Golf MK8 por eso escribo esto con conocimiento de causa

Here in Brazil it also stopped, it was only until the 7th that was imported from Germany in 2013.

Actually, this ad made me realize that's never gonna happen. This style of car is pretty much dead. The MkI and MkII Golfs had a design that was loved on the outside AND super-roomy, plenty of light coming in, high-viz all around on the inside. But VW, in the name of efficiency most likely, turned the Golf into a Scirocco. And all best-selling cars copied that design... think 208s, Ibizas, Astras, Focus, Punto etc. And the interiors of all those cars slowly became too low, too dark, with a claustrophobic roof that slopes down to your face. Horrible cars to sit in if you just stop to think about. People never realized that consciously, but subconsciously I bet those are the most important reasons people slowly went for small SUVs. It's all about the Pumas and the T-Rocs now if you look at sales figures (especially in Europe). Take a look at the Honda-E's design. It's a modern-day design of the first two generations of Polos & Golfs. It flopped because of an insanely high price but reviewers went gaga for its design. It was gorgeous. THAT's the route VW should have gone down. Now compare the Honda-E to the Golf Mk8 and you'll see what I mean 😀 For context, I'm saying all this as someone whose parents had an Mk2 Golf-C for 30 years.
