And yes, this is the last one. Apologies for the lateness of videos - as I've mentioned on our Discord, with the babykins arriving basically whenever she wants now, my production schedule is going to be a little wonky until maybe 2 weeks after her birth.
We'll see.
Today, we'll be finishing up most of the postgame content and fighting...by a mile the best boss in the entire game.
Some mild spoilers for the manga, as well as both season 1 and season 2 of the Made in Abyss anime. Although, meh. It's been a while now.

As much as I would love to watch this game try to render a Turbinid dragon, I think it's better that we leave Binary Star behind. We can save the Golden City for the next game 😅

You're right: the reward for completing all the sidequests is that you have completed the sidequests. So don't bother. Ahh, this was a fun ride. Frustrating as the game is (first and only game that made me not touch it of 2 solid weeks out of pure rage), there are plenty of neat features and moments to make it a decent experience overall. Also, Detchuanga's fate after you beat him is delightfully Tsukushian and I am here for it, lol.

Detchuanga is another example why I firmly believe Lysa is morally grey at best. The deeper you want to go the more monstrous or human you have to become. Till layer 5 the question is "would you sacrifice yourself to go deeper? Post layer 5 its "Are you willing to accept someone else's sacrifice to go deepeer?" Then layer 6 immediately delivers the most made in abyss stuff: "Are you willing to accept someone else's sacrifice to go back?" Layer 6 is like the nope zone of the abyss, I wonder what price layer 7 will ask, death has no value for the abyss, its more like lives willingly given for parts of a truth. I wonder if Lysa was human enough to go through the journey or became the worst of horrors layer 7 has in store for us

I don't know if that implies Lyza is crazy Detchuanga seemed obsessed with relics prior to his expedition and was planning on turning Tiare into a white whistle to add him to his collection. Lyza might be crazy but that's completely unrelated to him. He had a screw loose before he entered the abyss.

This was pretty good. When I played I kinda went kinda crazy and got all the best relic armor. But I have to say the relic bow makes the final boss a cake walk. Like I think I had maybe gotten over prepared for it.

Gotta be honest if you do some rewriting with this villain and your bf that ripped out his eyes it’s very much a MiA story here. It currently has the aspects of one but missing the introspection of value and smaller themes.

I played the game myself while watching this series. It was super fun. I wish Detchuanga was the cannon final boss and the player trying to save Tiare from him but then Tiare dies tragically after becoming free. Then new game plus should have been about Bondewd and Prushka with Bondrewd actually a fun boss. Being able to explore I do front and see Umbra hands would have been cool. Imagine if there was a zoaholic chamber you can find.

Thanks for this journey. The "final" boss and his lore was definitely worth it. You didn't mention it, but after you beat Detchuanga, his corpse gets reanimated and starts wandering in the 5th layer... He might now both kill *_and_* thrill delvers, provided there is some good music playing in the background. ;) Did you like my version of this pun? 🙃

I thought he was pretty easy honestly, I beat him my first try I just sorta rushed him and tanked the damage, I didn't even know he had a bomb attack, but I had grade 1 relic armor and weapons so maybe that's the reason. After that I felt like taking on an orb piercer which before could kill me in two hits but with grade 1 relic armor, I could tank it. The only thing I had to worry about afterwards was the poison which will affect you during the remainder of your current expedition but won't kill you it just slowly brings your health down to like 4 or so.

Ah, ranged weapons, yea... that coulda made the final boss easier for me the doofus i was just went in maxed relic pickaxe crazy... and died like 100 or so times before i won against that boss

Even while reading the manga and watching the show, I kept thinking "this was basically designed to be a badass Bloodborne like game", and I'm really disappointed in how it turned out. I always felt the same about Attack on Titan.

I got to layer 5 and now I kinda dont wanna play the game anymore. The fact that it ends after later 5 is SUPER annoying and disappointing So you get all the white whistles and cool weapons just for the game to end. Super stupid. I might as well play a new game. But thanks for showing me before wasting more of my time on it lol
