Pratt & Whitney was recently featured on Connecticut Public Television's "Made in Connecticut" series. The segment highlights how the company is transforming its operations and supply chain for the projected ramp up of the F135 engine program and the PurePower Geared Turbofan PW1100G-JM engine for the Airbus A320neo family.
The "Made in Connecticut" series is a three-year initiative produced by the Connecticut Public Broadcast Network for air on its television, radio and digital platforms focusing on those initiatives that exemplify the state's manufacturing leadership.

I worked the assembly floor back in the late 70s. A good friend growing up was in charge of some engineering department there. Rest In Peace Mike K. My dad and oldest brother both retired from there.

Better continue to hope it don't BLOW UP like the oil seal problem in its PW1500G, or the high compressor knife-edge HCF in the PW1100G, or the one-pipe-out cooling of the high turbine. Just wait a bit longer for the NEXT failure. YOU "love aerospace" because it's so "gender inclusive equal" surely. What HORSESHIT. They don't KNOW how to manage a successful engine program = a happy customer. Get a fucking CLUE people, PW only fixes ANYTHING that negatively impacts their financials as they kick the can down the road rotating managers in and out of programs while the responsibility chases them through their "career." FAA Certification, engines, planes, pilots, people; LIP SERVICE.

The best contracts we had were with Pratt & Whitney Canada. Best company in Canada with a pipeline that we are glad to be a part of contributing to for over 40 years.

Wish it were so. Better continue to hope the GTF don't BLOW UP like the oil seal problem in its PW1500G, or the high compressor knife-edge HCF in the PW1100G, or the one-pipe-out cooling of the high turbine. Just wait a bit longer for the NEXT failure. PW doesn't KNOW how to manage a successful engine program = a happy customer. PW only fixes ANYTHING that negatively impacts their financials reporting to Raytheon as they kick the can down the road pf rotating managers in and out of programs while the responsibility chases them through their "career." FAA Certification, engines, planes, pilots, people; LIP SERVICE.
