Tea cake- Bite off the upper chocolate shell without disturbing the white cream fluff inside ( this takes experience and skill ). Eat the chocolate shell, then in one go scoop ALL the white cream fluff out with tongue and enjoy the heaven. Then eat the remainder base biscuit :-)
I remember when Tunnocks tearoom had a Myna bird at the top of the stairs. Also when you could get a bag of candy scrap from the back of the Tunnocks factory for 2d basically broken carmel wafer without the chocolate. Those were the days. Archie Tunnock showed 3 of us round the factory one night for a presentation I was doing for the Boy Scouts. When I was a butchers boy I would deliver meat to the Tunnocks home, Mrs Tunnock (Archies wife) was a very pleasant and kind woman.
Jewish peas: What Tam Tunnock's waitresses would offer you at the wedding purvey to go with the steak pie and potatoes. Can't remember where the joke came from and it's not particularly funny, but it's maybe mildly amusing and it's costing you nothing, so don't complain.
