Glad you enjoyed....when I say to people, that I live in most beautiful island in the world.They laugh....what other place on earth makes you feel in : love,peace,calm, adventure,adrenaline,happiness,friendly,the nature, the ocean, being on a volcano indside or out, being above the clouds without being on an aeroplane, the smell, the food,the amazing levadas and waterfalls, the local streets parties, carnival,flower festival , one of the most beautifull fireworks in the world, all year around tropical temperatures...could say more, but run out of time.amazing video📹 🎥

We were there in November. I think one big key to avoid crowded hikes is to start early. We passed lots of people on the way back to the car on every hike we did. Thanks for watching!

Thanks so much for watching. You will love Madeira, I'm sure. I used a Mini 3 Pro as well and there were no problems with taking off (except for windy conditions in some places). I ran into 2 other people taking drone footage there as well. Just like anywhere else, just be concious of yoru surroundings and respect the comfort of others. I see you do drones on your page, so I'm sure you are already aware. Thanks again!

Where did you stay when not at the Yurt? Seems like Funchal would be most practical for home base (food, non-driving access). Any other suggestions for secondary accommodation for a few days for change of scene or reduced travel times appreciated!

For our last two nights we stayed in the northern part of Funchal. I’ll add the link below. The location was great (very near the highway) and the grounds were very pretty, but it wasn’t one of our favorite places we have stayed. There are plenty of narrow roads where you are on the edge. Some of the roads are quite steep and our car was often in a low gear. If you are on the highways you can expect a roundabout at the end of most tunnels, and there are lots of tunnels. Overall I enjoyed driving there, but if you have issues with heights I could see some of it being difficult. Thanks for the question and thanks for watching!

I used a DJI Mini 3 Pro. It was too windy at the top of Pico de Ariero during sunrise. It was windy in other spots as well, so I was careful.
