Jamie you are a wonderful conversationalist, you were so approachable and comforting to Madeline I felt like she was the most open and relaxed she’s ever been on a podcast. I’ve kind of struggled to understand her on podcasts in the past but felt like she was given the opportunity to explain herself very well here and I’m surprised I can really relate to a lot of the points she made and will be taking on board some of her wisdom. You can also tell she’s a very intelligent woman with her reasoning and outlook on life. I am now a new and proud fan of this pod❤❤❤
I like how she talked about friendships, for me its the same thing , friends last forever and its hard for me to beleive that some people have these like superficial relationships with random people for a year and two that they call *friendship" and then it just ends , i never got it
i always love listening to madeline argy, so she was a great guest to this podcast! you both did great and madeline really seemed calm and collected with you :)
I’m Exactly the same, I don’t want to talk to ppl I don’t know and having nothing in common with. I used to go but now I just say I don’t want to I’d rather stay in with my dog, it’s taken years for me to do this though. Love your channel Jamie you are great at interviewing ppl.
omg i thought she had social anxiety because she sometimes post that she leaves parties to go cry from being so overwhelmed and overthinking everything she says but i definitely get not wanting to do the small talk, i loathe small talk
@@RUhachi I became a new fan this year so I went all the way back and watched her videos from the start and she literally says she gets “so socially anxious” like on video, so am a bit confused lol :/
@@2tr6dinquwjos being socially anxious is different from having social anxiety , social anxiety is way more severe and a huge disorder (from which I suffer) and it gets really bad to the point where you can’t even go out for weeks sometimes , she is socially awkward or can get anxious but she’s been to/is in therapy and hasn’t been diagnosed with social anxiety so I believe it is not safe to assume. even though I agree that some of what she says resembles social anxiety idk it’s her own perspective on it yk

Ah yeah I actually have social anxiety too so I really noticed when she said stuff about it and was actually really happy hearing her say it as someone I look up to as really cool had the same thing as me 😓 hey ho I get what you’re saying but is just a little confusing as being socially anxious is very similar to having social anxiety, at least in my experience! But ofc yeah I don’t want to assume, just found it odd after hearing her say those things!
@@2tr6dinquwjos don’t feel alone if she’s saying she doesn’t feel as socially anxious anymore! A huge number of people get awkward and are anxious around others. I’ve struggled with anxiety all my life, and I go through periods where being social is super easy, then all of a sudden it’s like I’m a preteen again feeling like a complete outcast. My anxiety can affect different areas of my life at certain times, some areas more than others. It’s weird.
I think she’s just honest. I actually really appreciate her unfiltered nature it’s a nice change from the disingenuous, fake, “media trained” celebrities and influencers we are used to. Some of the things she mentioned like not recognising bad friends and not enjoying small talk are very common things to experience as a neurodiverse person which I believe she has said she has ADHD, to just openly admit these things can come across uncanny or jarring to someone neurotypical.
There’s no way she didn’t know about the dj remixes … tbh she’s giving pick me girl.. she acts nonchalant but tbh I feel like she likes appearing this way.
