I don't care how long I'll wait I must see Sanford and Deimo's reunion

No wonder Hank shows up as even more of a killing machine every time he gets resurrected. He spends several days being constantly shot, punched, and stabbed.

That was actually sad. Deimos backed away from Sanford when he was advancing towards him and even put his hand up while he was on the ground. He couldn't shoot him, even if he wasn't real.

I get the vibe that Deimos is the youngest of the 3 protagonists. He seems a little more jovial and willing to joke around than the others. And after playing some of Project Nexus he has a bit more of a self assured, cocky attitude than Sanford when it comes to his expertise in Hacking. As far back as Madness 5.5 you can see their relationship as Sanford acting as more of a caretaker to Deimos, bandaging him up mid combat while he tries to press on.

1:36 Deimos grips the slide as it fires, preventing the gun from cycling to the next round. This is why he racks it before entering the next room. I hadn't noticed this in previous viewings, I had just assumed he was wasting a bullet to be cool.

The detail at 1:35 is nuts. He holds the slide in place so the gun can't cycle, then racks the slide to eject the empty casing.

So to my understanding of the three characters Hank is a psychotic killer with the skill to take down trained professionals with his bare hands with an enhanced crab/demon arm that produces electricity and gives him semi telekinetic capabilities Deimos is a corpse with a body infused with stone, who has geo kinetic abilities and gets to summon chains, along with having a high level of battle sense. And Sanford is a lucky bastard with a hook, and these powerhouse’s best friend. I fucking love this series

I wounder, is this what hank went through every time he died? A constant physical test. I guess this would be maddening.

I don't know if this is canon but I like to imagine Deimos can dodge all the hooks after he's infused with stone because it gives him tremor-sensing powers.

Despite all of this, Deimos still has his sense of humor. And ngl he looks pretty fly with those sunglasses

I love that the music became more whimsical when Deimos fully realizes what he's capable of after he gets patched up, then starts getting more distorted and traditional as he's closer to the point where he gets resurrected. Like hitting that point where you've started lucid dreaming, then you start waking up.

Did anyone else notice Dedmos was having a blast with his newfound power? He even did finger guns

I think one of the most interesting details about this is how Deimos becomes less and less of himself the longer he is in purgatory, until he re-enters Nevada at the end

Okay, this is great. Considering that in this universe, Hell is essentially Deimos' playground/prison, he can learn to adapt to the harsher conditions given to him and survive. Also I would love to admit how Deimos can overcome his lack of seriousness and when need be, just become an absolute badass. This is why Madness Combat is such a great series. Krinkles is able to literally give his characters life, even if you can't hear them speak. Also time to keep waiting for Madness Combat 12

i love seeing deimos transform slowly from being a gun specialist to being literally the coolest brawler,its especially seen in the final episode when he is literally forced to use his melee skills to beat the giants since he's unable to use the oversized guns

1:11 i like the detail that Deimos tried to light a cigarette while falling upside down, but when he ignited his thumb, the flame was burning in the opposite direction, causing him to burn himself and change his orientation.

At 2:43 Deimos tries to warn Sanford, then grabs his mouth in realisation that he can't speak since he lost his bottom jaw

Everyone is focused with the "Deimos is in hell" representation here but tbh i kinda think this also explores Deimos's past as well. Seems like everyone has already decided that Deimos was a former ATP Engineer, but if you remember Deimos also has a fondness towards the Agents shades. Also the fact that Deimos's wanted poster says "Can not reformat" as opposed to Sanford's "Will not reformat" make me believe that the 1st Grunt in Sacrifice is a representation of past Deimos because Deimos literally comes from the hole that Grunt create. I think the writings "IT HURTS" is supposed to be either Deimos's pain that his reformat into an agent is a failure or he's just sad that he can't reformat. Also all the posters that are AAHW related always seems to be belitling Deimos like "DO YOUR JOB" "WE ALWAYS THOUGHT you were a little on the small side" and "THE AAHW NEEDS YOU just kidding, can you imagine tho?" mocking him for his failure as an AAHW member.

Y'know, it's pretty amazing that Deimos could take all of those hits without kicking the bucket. EDIT: Oh, right, I forgot, you can't kill what's already dead.

OKAY SO. Something I noticed. At 7:33, Deimos' body. It doesn't look like himself before being tossed into the rocks, but the locations of the wounds are exactly where they are on his freshly killed corpse in Madness Aggregation. My point? This is his actual corpse from Madness Aggregation, taken in by 2BDamned. It's either rotted, or blackened as a result of this purgatory he's in. Nevertheless I think it's safe to assume this is arc is canon, and that 2BDamned at some point retrieved Deimos's body in an attempt to revive him. But it took time, and as Deimos's body in purgatory began to decompose, so did his own in real life(?). We can also be pretty sure that the two guys in the beginning of CHASE.FLA are two other of the "Fellows" like Fellow9 who are trying to find Deimos in this world. One of the signs refers to "Stabilizer Agents" as being "Sowers of Lies and Destruction", so I guess that's what these guys are. Stabilizer Agents. Would make sense anyway. ALSO 2BDamned is potentially the guy Deimos keeps in contact with during Aggregation? Would make perfect sense, they seem to know eachother

This has a completely different vibe than Hank's journey through the other place. Yeah it was chaotic and dangerous but this felt like a personal nightmare for Deimos. I gotta say though it's satisfying to see him effortlessly dodge those impaling spikes in dedmos rebuilt after all he went through

I'm gonna go full English teacher and find dumb meanings on shit So I guess the tentacle is representative of Hank, and the Sanford apparition was representative of him feeling like he needs to protect the guy and how he's not capable on his own. The massive people are all representative of the scale of his situation and how he's a small part in comparison, and his comeback to life is him becoming significant in that plot.

gotta love how in 2:27 when he was peeking through the window without glass there was a text saying "dumb idiot" pointing at him

Out of the early 00's flash animations, I'd have to say Madness has aged the best. You can feel weight to everything even in the original Madness Combat. But hey I could just be nostalgia blind, but I enjoyed my rewatch of them all tonight.

I've heard people say, "That which doesn't kill you only makes you stronger." I think we can make an exception in this case.

Imagine if sandford died and be named "sinford"

Y'know, at first I thought the part where he kills the Engineer who then flashes to be himself was just a funny nod, but I just realized something. Deimos is labeled a traitor, and he seems to really know his way around their tech. That mask was also the SECOND time he's tried on their clothing. Since he's in Hell and Hell loves symbolism and fucking with people, maybe that was an indicator that he's a hypocrite. He kills dozens of engineers who, for all we know, could also want out of the organization. But Deimos doesn't care, he just guns em down with the rest. He could be killing people just like him. Or maybe I'm overthinking it.

Maybe the giant grunts are to represent how small Deimos really is

Gotta hand it to Deimos, his mind and soul are being torn apart and he just comes off as annoyed. Pretty cute how attached he is to Sanford, not in some yaoi way but, it's pretty wholesome. Man's misses his bro.

After Deimos gets sent back to Nevada, he accidentally dragged others with him. This implies that grunts have escaped before and realized what happens when you escape.

I noticed that when Deimos kills the Soldat at 2:45, he does it incredibly violently compared to how he usually kills - he was pissed.

So first it's Hank, with the monster arm. Then it's Deimos with becoming a Stone Creature. Wonder what Sandford going to be?

I like how hell torments and distorts Deimos - his personality and soul, in the end he does not even hide HOW MUCH he likes to kill and what pleasure violence and fear bring him, which actually his bloodlust strongly contrasts with Hank and Sanford. For Hank and San, violence is a means to an end, and for Deimos it is an end in itself, Hank and San do not particularly mock because they need to kill the enemy to survive or achieve the goal, but Deimos openly mocks opponents and then also over corpses, he revels in the horror that they experience in front of him, he frankly likes that HE is the cause of someone else's fear and I damn love it.

3:37 - Deimos shoots and kills himself, specifically that time where he pretended to be an agent to prank Sanford in MC9

I fucking adore how at 1:35 Deimos grabs the Automag V as the soldat fires it, and then when he pickes it up seconds later he rakes the slide (which couldn’t cycle because his hand was on it.) Krinkles’ attention to detail is absolutely phenomenal.
