Dechuri: Still, Bebe in Rebellion uses her witch form for the most part of the anime. Just without the evil personality, obviously. I think that the fact that her human self looks younger than the other magical girls probably explains why her witch form is kinda cartoonish and obsessed with sweets.

I love how Mami is blissfully unaware that her cute little BFF used to be a Witch that once bit her head off. Such a twistedly ironic friendship is so perfect for this series.
It's too bad this comment is 4 years old, so you will never see this reply. Yes, it's ironic, but in a world where the real you is a soul that has an afterlife AND there's alternate timelines AND considering what suffering Nagisa went thru to become a witch AND considering she's only 8 years old, why the HECK would that make a difference? It's one death among many for Mami in the various timelines, she would know it would be partly because she got careless (hence partly her fault) and lastly, she'd know that poor little Nagisa witch thought she was just cheese.
@@remo27 actually the Mami of this timeline doesn't know of Nagisa's fate and getting killed by her. However Nagisa being part of the Law of Cycles would know of the possible countless times she bit Mami's head off and yet despite all that Nagisa makes amends by befriending Mami, which I think is sweet of her. (if you interpret cheese as love then her saying she wanted to eat cheese one final time later on can be interpeted as her trying to find a mothers Love, which Mami provides.)
It's pretty obvious from this scene that Charlotte doesn't like having to trick Mami and actual cares for her. She looks sad and knowing when Homura starts asking questions.
@@hypersonixgamer1962 No, you watch the movie. Bebe even apologized for lying to Mami. "Tricking" as in playing dumb with whats going on in the labyrinth. She is not Bebe, She is Nagisa, one of the magical girls Madokami took along with Sayaka to this mission.
5:25 Spoilers When Bebe says "i'll turn into cheese..", her whole transformation back into Charlette involves blending herself into a cheese mold that turns her back into a magical girl. So by her saying that, shes really saying, "I'll kick your ass" in a sense. Someone else commented this but id thought I'd help spread the word :)
Besides, when Bebe senses a nightmare, she is telling Mami to "turn into cheese" which we can translate as "hurry up and turn into a magical girl", which gives it even more sense to why she says that she would turn into cheese
+killer sands the only witch like thing about her now is she is slightly more sinister then a normal person and plus she still looks like a witch but other wise she's pretty human
I love Bebe, and I was really happy that she redeemed herself in the movie. Honestly, when Mami died, I felt double sorry, because I couldn't help but liking Charlotte in spite of the horrible thing she did. My guess is that Madoka chose Nagisa/Charlotte to be one of the guardians of her memories because during her transformation she learned about who Charlotte realy was... (the same way she learned the truth about Homura) so Madoka forgave her and gave Charlotte a chance of making up with Mami.

I love how Nagisa was one of the main selling points of the movie but she only had about two minutes worth of screen time, and even if you count Bebe that’s only six minutes. At least Magia Record gave her more development.

Kuro Usagi Bebe/Nagisa is precious no matter what tbh, she and satomi and matsuri are favorite characters from the madoka magica franchise as a whole (Satomi is from Kazumi Magica and Matsuri is from Suzune Magica)
I actually shed some tears when watching bebe get handled that way...it's so adorable and it's actually letting Homura know that demon possessed cat thing is the bad guy! -__-

The environment also literally tells the audience the witch is Homura. The flower scene with Madoka, everything changes to Homuras feelings. The TVs that came on after she started time showed Bebe, and the environment displays the witches feelings and thoughts only
I was baffled when I read that the Mami Homura was fighting was a double from the beginning. I always thought Mami simply created a double when Homura was about to shoot herself, I couldn’t believe she was powerful enough to have created a separate entity out of her ribbons
I never thought this series would have the impact it did on me, but the way they bury the first part of the third movie under the cliches of the genre, so that right at its very beginning, this scene is completely taut with tension, saturated with dread over what might happen if one of them pushes too far on the question of who and what they all were "before" their new histories... it's nothing short of astounding.
You know.. now that i re-watch some scenes from the movie i see the things that are easy-to-miss, for instance when mami passes by homura there's the yellow string for about 1 or 2 frames

Bebe didn't really have a big role yet she was one of my favorite things about rebellion, she's just so damn adorable even with that creepy little face.
nagisa's relation with mami is rlly related to the relation she had with her own mother. she had a rlly abusive and ill mom and a non existant dad. she was lonely and didn't had much friends so nobody to rely on plus considering she was only 8yo. she ended up doing a contract with kyubey, wishing for a cheesecake, after her mom told her everything was her fault and she shouldn't be existing. she wished for a cheesecake because her mom loved cheese but also because her mom would die from her illness since nagisa didn't saved her. she ended up becoming a witch after her mom got killed by someone and not by her illness. mami is kinda the mom nagisa wanted to have : nice, caring, kind. but in the same time, nagisa is the cause of mami's death, just like she wanted to be the cause of her mother death.
The official story published with Magia Record was that she used to have good relation with her mom but her mom fell into depression after her husband has left her and got sick. They rest is same as what you posted.
This movie has so much damn rewatch value. I never even noticed in 5:58 the background. The teeth falling out.... the line of lonesome looking girls clutching their books..... And after just noting how painful it was to disclose the hard truths to Mami.... now she has to do it again. Not that it worked, of course. Then again- does it ever?
Is it just coincidence that at 4:06, Bebe sounds like she's saying "Kyubey"? (I have to ask because most of the time, what she says sounds like gibberish).
It's on purpose, since not only is there is no translation for that part but Kyubey is the actual bad guy in this situation, it was like she was trying to tell her.
2:13 there's something on Madoka's tone of voice.... like, so fresh; it actually made me feel very comfortable. "Did she always sound like that?" ...Haha I was saying "what are you doing, Homura?!" "Bebe??". I couldn't help but feel pretty bad, the whole scene; every second :( 3:07. I had to pause it, and take a screenshot.. I think I've never seen that expression on that Homu's face... BUT HOW THE HECK DIDN'T I NOTICED THAT YELLOW THING AT HER RIGHT?? I PAUSED IT!, NOT EVEN TWICE! Homu distracted me haha ...Writers are so excellent, gotta love Madoka Just one thing. I used to be confused as to why Homura disliked Mami so much but then I realized in just about every loop Mami is always the first one to go insane and kill other magical girls
