RIP SOPHIE 💔 SOPHIE about Madonna and working with her: "In my mind, Madonna created the blueprint for modern pop stars. Her creativity has gone further, wider and longer than anyone else I can think of; I feel like her songs have been consistently memorable and meaningful. I have loved all of Madonna’s different phases at different points, but I think the Bedtime Stories era [1994] is really intriguing, especially the production - it has a unique feeling. It’s so much more fully formed and sexy than a lot of the trip-hop stuff that was coming out around that time. It’s definitely been an influence on my own music. My earliest memories of Madonna are of when my half-sister used to listen to her loads on family holidays. Davina was, and still is, a very fun party girl, so my early impressions of Madonna are merged with my half-sister’s teenage punk energy - I still think of Madonna in that way. Working with her [on track Bitch I’m Madonna, which Sophie co-wrote and co-produced, the third single from Madonna’s 2015 album Rebel Heart] was really quite a one-off, spontaneous thing - I suppose a happy coincidence. I felt a connection with the title. But you have to prevent yourself from getting too excited about that kind of thing. People still write about that song in every article they write about me, so I guess she still means a lot to everyone operating in music right now. Madonna’s work is so vast - there’s an appropriate Madonna reference for any situation. But I think the factor that sets her apart from others is that each phase seems to be a byproduct of a genuine journey of self-discovery, and always addresses some prejudice or other. Whatever is the established, easy‑to-consume current thing, Madonna always seems to push past that. I think anyone who has struggled with having their voice heard can relate to what Madonna stands for and feel empowered by her story and her music. She is not buying into people’s bullshit. I think what I’ve learned from her is that you can work hard and still be a good person. Anyone who fights so long and so hard deserves to be an important figure in music. And she looks like she’s having more fun than a lot of people I know at that age, so whatever she’s doing, in my opinion she’s doing it right." www.theguardian.com/music/2018/jul/15/sophie-on-madonna-work-vast-musical-influence
+Gabriel's Page Is your life really so boring that you post the same stupid comment every week? Go and listen to boring Adele. People who love to live are here.
+MrRD1981 actually you're wrong ppl who love death r here watching a grandma dancing like a slut plus adele is true talented she doesn't use sex in her vidoes and she get views not like old madonna
No one : ..... Me at 3am : try not to make noise while going to drink water My flip flop : 3:35 Thank you sooo much for the likes I hope for you a great life ❤
@@OblivionXE There's no way she didn't work on the drops. Listen to her own songs and you'll notice the similarities. Diplo's discography seems nothing like this. Songs like Bounce, Vroom Vroom and Taxi have very similar productions to this.
can you belive that this was the same woman who sang material girl edit: guys i know she reinvents her career everytime she comes back but its still kinda shocking that this is the same person as material girl
But it just doesnt...... its probably one of if not madonna's worst song. It's just terrible lyrics over a shitty pop beat. And wtf happens at 3:33??? It sounds like a fucking floorboard creaking.
@@unchartedraider7547 it's bisexuality that isn't real. Like Madonna is straight and even if she is bi. She only uses it or talks about it for sex and sex related marketing.
Why everything Madonna does always gets hate when its getting released but as time passes it starts getting more and more praise? Like leave ha alone 😭
Because all of her albulms are growers... I've grown up listening to her , but every albulm she throws out it takes me a a couple weeks to proper get into.. only one I could was hard candy 🍭 .. she's so ahead of her time all the time! She always uses up and coming artists x
hahah ..nah a bad trip is REALIZING this type of stuff is cool and influencing younger kids then waking up the next day and realizing your bad trip was really was a wake up call that your watching this shit too 😂
a girl modonna is legendary.. she is very artistic. Look at her past music videos or listen to them. Everyone knows The name Madonna; people nowadays and people in the past (there’s a valuable reason). It’s personal taste but you can’t deny she’s iconic Also, it’s like me saying Michael Jackson isn’t talented because he raped kids (no proof but speculations) just because he might, or might not, have a bad past doesn’t not mean he’s not talented. If madonna is a narcissist .. does that mean she’s not talented or “queen of pop?”
Nicki probs just sent a video of her lip-syncing to her part in front of a green screen, on which they put that background, explaining how she kinds "came out of the _tv_". then the thing that guy was holding up was also probs a green screen, as a tv would be too heavy
I´m glad The Queen did another amazing video, energetic, colorful, with a lot of cool guests and the most important thing: She´s clearly having fun! "Don´t ever tell me to stop!" (Madonna)
People saying that madonna is too "dirty" in this video haven't got a clue about who madonna was, ya'll never even seen justify my love and you think this is dirty? THIS IS NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT SHE DID BACK IN THE DAY
Fernando, yes, but her older stuff had class. I thought this was a parody. At first Then it just makes ya sad. Because it's stupid and our Madonna is brilliant.
