I knew Madonna is a great singer. And she perfectly performed her Hung Up over a sequence of "Gimme!Gimme! Gimme!" by Abba. But this version of my very beloved song absolute crushed me. Wonderful job, Madonna. Different from Frida, but absolutely genious! Congratulations. She really must be a fan of ABBA, with so much depth in her interpetation of this heavenly mindtaking song.
Not to mention that she tackled what is certainly one of their deepest, least-known songs. She's obviously paid attention to their repertoire - not just the hits.

I am shocked to be honest....I thought she would WRECK this GREAT song, but she stood true to the original....SUCH a beautiful song......respect to Madonna for her respectful treatment....One of the most UNDER-RATED songs EVER....
I have to admit I havealways had a certain degree of admiration for Madonna. This beautiful version of the ABBA classic only consolidates that admirationt. She treats the song with a great deal of respect and I am sure ABBA would agree that it is a very dignified interpretation of their work. Very pleasant to listen to. Thank you, Her Madgesty!

I grew up with Abba songs in 70's,then i found Madonna in 80's.and felt in love with her too. We are now in 2018 and i have just one big dream..I wish to see Abba & Madonna together on stage performing their new tracks from their new Albums..singing "Gimme, gimme /Hung up" somewhere between..
In a sad future time when madonna is no longer with us, this and many more unreleased gems will become available. Shame she wont release them now and enjoy the pleasure it brings.

William Orbit and Madonna always created such amazing music together. Most of the unreleased music I find that I like, I find out it's produced by Orbit and I'm like ahh that explains it!

i must admist that this cover kills it!!! But Frida is so much into the emotional - and sings it so better!!! Nobody sings better than FRIDA; so, there's no hate here!!! And I absolutely LOVE MADONNA ;)

Unless you know the lyrics, they're often lost in this which is a real shame. Overpowered by the music sadly. This is nice enough, but the Abba version is sweeter and crystal clear.

A very sad song i feel. By mistake I gave a copy of this song to my sister -in -law to be.I had not realized just how depressed she had become. After being together with my brother for 12 years they were to be married. Two months before the set date he died of a sudden heart attack. 18 months later she committed suicide. So now it's sad for me also. Very haunting .She had changed her name by depol to my brother's surname, And she was buried next to him in her wedding gown. At his funeral She had him dressed in a wedding suit and we all wore corsages that she wanted us to wear and also had white Limousines for the coffin and families as if we were going to a wedding So for me the song is very haunting .
It's true never the original version could be replaced but man! madonna ruled this song, I dont have a favorite (Im ABBA fan) two both got their own magic, that part when Madonna sings "I closed my eyes....goooone to sooon" really thrill my senses.
Heavenly interpretation. The other half was heartbreaking. Great combinations with contemporary sound effects. Indeed, whoever realized it has great taste.
I love the original Abba version and purity and emotion in Frida's voice. But this is lovely too and I thought Madonna sounded absolutely lovely. Benny and Bjorn crafted beautiful music and I am sure Madonna was well aware of that. I appreciate her recording this and would have loved to have seen it released.
I’m usually very critical when it comes to Abba covers as most of the time the song ends up butchered. Abba is a hard act to follow, but Madonna really nailed this one. She captured the essence of the song.

This was a great revelation to me, unreleased yet so worthwhile. I always loved this ABBA song but Madonna makes a greatly refreshing, sensual and remarkable version of it.
She should have included this on GHV2 and released it as a single! Stupid Warner! So stupid how Warner ruined her singles after ray of light for example in the USA Beautiful Stranger and American Pie didn't get a single release and were huge. BS hit number 1 in Canada 🇨🇦 and American Pie 🥧 hit number all over the world 🌎. Thanks to USA Airplay they hit the singles chart, but would've done much better had they had releases. They could've became number 1s for Madonna.
Madonna has many unreleased songs that should of been added to something to remember or ghv2 or something that between albums. Madonna takes to long to release music

Madonna should have included this song and the original Erotica she performed at the confession tour on GHV2! Stupid Decision just like they didn't want Impressive Instant released. Such an amazing cover song. She always records the best ballads.
NObody has sung this lovely song as beautifully or with as much emotion as Sissel Kyrkjebø, especially last July at the Mormon Tabernacle, with piano accompaniment only, during the "Pioneer Days" celebration. 💖
I'd like to hear Madonna's vocals done to the original ABBA backing track. She does a very credible cover of the song, but Frida's vocals have more pathos and heart

Im a Great Fan of ABBa and Madonna and Im pretty sure Madonna did not cover this song to say shes Better than Frida so stop to compare which version is better, Madonna has always showed respect to ABBA and she has always spread her love for ABBA, this is a tribute, a beautiful version and sweet voice.
