yep. she coyly downplays her intelligence. it's even higher than she shows. she hides it to be cute or flirty. she is a VERY high I.Q. person and was straight A student, she plays it off.
"some of the critics hated it. they wanted to shoot you down" "oh yeah? sure. that's normal" right from the beginning, they loved to hate this woman. (but secretly all loved her of course) She'll be a goddess when she's dead.
Yeah it's sad how even now, people like to pick on her except the only difference is it's based on ageism and that she can't be sexual cause of her age, which is stupid cause she's always been like that and should people stop being themselves cause they're 60?? It's like they want her to be a wet cardboard now
at 3:27 she briefs everyone of how to layout a successful show. And still she does this kind of format. It's such a simple format no one else has been able to replicate but her. That's why she's still on top of her game after 30 years.
Well said. Even if I think that something missing since the "Confession Tour": the opening from "Sticky And Sweet Tour" was average and its last section was very generic plus the costumes were terrible - even if "Like A Prayer/Fells Like Home" was superb. Personally I thing that the "MDNA Tour" is the lowest point of her live career: the Virgin Mary intro was astonishing but "Girl Gone Wilde" and its dance routine were so average, the whole setlist/sections is a little bit random - except the masculine/feminine - and even if "Celebration" was full of great light design it's nothing compared to "Family Affair/Keept It Together" from "Blonde Ambition Tour" or "Everybody Is A Star/Everybody" from "Girlie Show" just to name a few.
S&ST was excellent. Yes it was a generic pop show but a lot of people doubted whether Madonna could pull off a generic pop show that the likes of Rihanna or Britney could do and do it better than them so she did. It was a challenge. MDNA was disappointing because she tried to go back to her 1990 persona and that’s what happens to Madonna when she doesn’t challenge herself.
..seriously..just seeing her face..like..kinda makes my weird silly heart bump a few extra jolts of Love, and get all nostalgic teary eyed...That "mug" ;) always reminding me of all the happiest times of my life..on the dance floor, in my headphones..running on a beach...making me happy when i was heart broken..helping me to GET ON with it.. Cannot imagine my life without Madonna.
LoveAge SAME. I remember driving up from Santa Barbara for the Universal Amphitheater shows, buying a Ticket 🎫 off a scalper ALL Three Nights and they were the BEST shows, just as memorable as Blonde Ambition!!
really, this video is the making of one of the world's greatest all time greatest performers. to think, 30 years later and her tours are still the hottest tickets on earth. she had the stuff right from the very beginning.
My Mom bought us The Virgin Tour VHS, too! So, I owe it all to her, I guess- my devotion to M. Also, The Reinvention Tour was the final concert my mother saw live, before she passed away . . .
Youth is everything ,if only we look like this at 60 , extraordinary performer she did quite well don’t you agree.❤️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Thank you for this post.
Actually my very first pop cassette yes l said cassette l ever purchased was Madonnas like a virgin when it first came out in the 80's . Great decade it was.
I dont think many want that level of interest, she filled a void for that time. I mean shes been banging away for ever and still not a billionaire. Ob the other hand you have true musos like mccartney who was a billionaire at 50
I remeber perfectly when I saw this interview the first time: I adore the way she open up her eyes at 2:23 when Molly Meldrum lists how many hits she had. Anyway this is not the full interview: missing the part when she speaks about the Borderline's video and when she wear her glasses.
@@alejandromunoz6983 Every biography that I see has her birthdate as Aug 16, 1958. She was born the day before Belinda Carlisle who was another singer that I really enjoyed seeing and listening to.
This is Nov 85, she was married and just shot the Live to Tell vid.... tho her hair is tied up...sean was present. This was several "pop in" interviews to promote the re released like a virgin album and desperately seeking susan had also just hit cinema tho this is solely about the tour!
Well, she aughta know what her own song is called. MY guess is the original song was called "Get into the groove" but a lot people only heard "into the groove" so that's what it became known as...
This must be her hirst haircut ever. It looks so weird. I am so happy this was an one off look. I guess she had already cut her hair short(like we saw her later in the true blue era) and put on some weird looking extensions. Even her make up is awfull there. Back then she used to look much prettier and more sexy than here
