This is a perfect example of why she is one of the best songwriters in music. There is a 40? year old straight father singing along to 20+ year old lyrics. And a 10? year old, by the time the new song is nearly over, singing along with the lyrics to a song nobody ever heard before. She writes memorable and catchy songs.
I already lost count of how many times I watched the original version of this performance, but today watching the reaction of this father and son made me cry with emotion. Well done Daddy.
this brings tears of joy and respect for Madonna, she didnt just come from yesterday, she survived for 30 years and this shows how she handles her carrier. it aint easy to sell records and be around music industry :)
I have watched the televised performance about a thousand times, but I have not been more touched when I saw this video. The ending almost made me cry. It was so angelic and majestic.
I'm an old gay guy who bopped to Madonna in the old days until 4 a.m,. in Manhattan. To hear a family man, who's spent probably $1000 dollars plus with his kids at the Bowl of Bowls sing the lyrics and love her brings tears to my eyes. She really is a world icon of acceptance and love-for us all! So sweet!
I love when the kid says: "Do you feel the stadium?" WOW. Sure it did. Based on your comments, it's proven that with Madonna's guests, she was able to "make the people come together"... even two or three generations. GREAT VIDEO

This goes to my theory: Any person who says "I never liked Madonna" is a liar. Not everyone is a "fan" but EVERYBODY has liked at least one Madonna song.
At the 0:49 mark, "Can you feel the stadium?" Just that one quote will give anyone watching this chills and a possible tear to the eye at the magnitude of this. The Goddess of Pop was in the building. Jesus, "this is good stuff."
GovaFlowProductions She sang probably. This wasn’t the normal venue for a performer of her statue. Couldn’t bring in her own sound system. The main audience was television. Singing to her own track was required. However she did insist on singing live for the Like a Prayer segment starting with the Open your Heart. She had a choir and CeeLo Green. You can tell that she is singing live. This show was a game changer. She used much of the field. It was truly an all American show. Aside from the emotional performance by U2 in 2002 following the trauma of 911, this is the best halftime show ever. Madonna. An American woman from the Midwest who became the most successful female artist in the history of the recording industry. Bravo. Brava. 😉
@@bethonna that's a lot of excuses. No one goes around with their own sound system or equipment. That's not a excuse, doesn't even make sense. They plan it for half a year. She didn't sing it live because she can't. Even on tour she doesn't sing live.

I love this both because we can get a feel of what it was like to be there live, to see the amazing graphics on the field screen, and because this dad (out of tune singing and all) is hilarious and both him and his kids are LIVING! Super cute
My dad got me into Madonna. And we always had that to connect us even though we never got along. Because of you I took my dad to a Madonna concert and it was amazing. It brought us closer and I love that men can be inspired by badass women. You're an amazing dad and your kids will be loved.

This is amazing. I've watched this performance a hundred times- but this felt like the first. So much detail went in to what the audience in the stadium witnessed.. She didn't just put on a show for the folks at home. Love her!!!
