Your recreation makes us realize how Madlib manages to be subtle and complex at the same time. Especially at 0:50, look how much 6-5-6-7-8 brings a sentimental layer to a sad beat all by itself.
You forgot a part in the song! During the bassline, a second layer is behind the Accordion sample which is singing in the same song, it’s layered under that with a lowpass filter by around 80% to give it a muffled sound. Just saying, you missed a spot, other than that great video.
you do an amazing job of showing how talented both you and these guys you recreate were.. like this beat is absolutely fucking insane there has never and will never be anything like it.. so beautiful thank you sir.. The people who watch your stuff understand it’s importance and beauty.
May the Mad Villain rest in Paradise where he can visit Thug Mansion where Biggie and Tupac write rhymes through us..now .MF DooM can help. I always wonder what they would say. And I write it down. Kind of like an angel sharing their rhymes in my head.
it's pretty easy really, I put a section of the instrumental which has the bass into lalal.ai and chose the bass isolation setting then just sampled it from there
@@Cats-Eye damn I thought you were able to get a similar tone like madlib by making it raw, that’s great though honestly. Did you do the same with the drums?
