thank you for actually putting both the icons and the skill names in the video, and holy shit the key inputs as well! Youd think when youre going over a rotation those would be key things to add but many people just leave them out completely and just show a long string of icons you havent learned yet.
Over the years I have done it one way or the other and learned that you will upset someone somewhere if you don’t just include everything possible. Console has no use for inputs, but PC players typically only want inputs. This way covers everyone.
I've been playing her since release, and I absolutely love her! In 7 years of playing BDO, I have never found a class to enjoy as much as Maegu. The only problem with her is when I want to grind at Hexe... I struggle to see the red circles because there's so much red on top of her skills. I'm playing in Remastered with no filter since the FXAA was too much for Hexe. Still, I'd love to be able to turn her spell effects down a notch without turning all the other game effects off, but sadly such a thing is not possible. I don't know what else to turn down to dim her flashy skills. Other than that, I genuinely love this class! Great guide, btw; I am using pretty much the same rotation but mostly without SHIFT + RMB after SHIFT + LMB since I don't find it's needed I grind a lot at orcs and Jade Starlight Forest, so there is no need for it since things die quite fast. Ofc probably makes sense for Hexe :)
@@atalayoz6912yeah you're gonna need to work on that DP tbh. Get to 260 (should be easy if you're on 245 still). Drop corros, tungrad earrings are way better before you can get debo
Excellent video! There have been some updates, and the buffs are on different skills now. That being said I would suggest the following rotation and add ons: Watch your stamina bar with this skill! Flower Shroud (+monster ap/+cast speed), Nukuri dance +critical rate/-DP), Bared Claws (+accuracy/-evasion), Foxspirit Tag (+critical damage/+DP), Lurking Claw (+back attack damage/+evasion), Spirit Swirl(+movement speed/+ 10 HP on hit), Heavenward Dance, Spirited Away, Petal Blast, Bristle Sparks. W+E, Shift+C, A or D+LMB, RMB, S+F until you teleport to the back of monster, Shift+F, W+RMB, S+LMB, S+RMB, Shift+RMB. This will give you everybuff, with SA/FG to prevent you being knocked down and killed. Maegu are meant to bait attacks, then dance around to thier targets back.
Nice guide. Maegu already feels really really good in gameplay. I've been playing Lahn for 5 years now and there was time for a change, going to use these weapon exchange coupons stacking in storage finally :D
Haha was trying my best to get it out. I want to tag drak for new Succ/awake pve guides and then tag back to maegu before the event ends so I’ve got some work to do.
TY for vid. I suck at learning rotations, but the way you explain it I really get. Also returning to game after 4 years so got some new gems to buy. Subscribed!
thank you for this detailed tutorial! esp the skill rotation section. Btw can you make a separate video for setting up your UI + the skill slots/cd windows for new players? Thanks a lot!
Maybe just as a basic frame work for the skill rotation. It’s a year old so some skills may have been tweaked and the add on system was completely revamped. There are new crystals/light stones etc. I haven’t played maegu in a long while, there’s probably a more up to date guide out there somewhere.
Hi, thank you for the guide, super helpful! In general: What artifacts do we use for the lightstones? monster ap or magic accuracy or something else? thanks! :)
It just depends. If you’re not hitting accuracy cap at the spot you’re grinding then accuracy. If you are and you don’t hit AP cap at a 5% AP cap zone or you’re grinding a 70% AP cap zone, monster AP. If you hit acc and AP cap at a 5% cap zone, you can run whatever as it doesn’t really matter at that point but black spirit rage will give some benefit rather than nothing.
What would you pick for her new 2 crystal slots? Girin's Tear I guess, but what about the other one? Also, how do you get the 5th movement speed level?
A lot of these videos seem kind of disconnected from the people they are aimed at. No mention of sustaining mana or how that works (it seems to be an issue for my character) for example. Do i solve it with skill addons, potions etc.or is there an ability that returns mana (or life for that matter) through it's mechanics.
I get your feedback but I specifically title these guides “end game pve” because I’m pretty disconnected with early and mid game play and am therefore terrible at making guides for them. At end game, players have both infinite hp and mp pots which make sustain automatic on any class you play. If you don’t have them yet, I strongly recommend making it your next upgrade before anything else. You can also use an item called “spirit perfume elixir” in the meantime which will resolve your mana issues. The reason we don’t want to focus on using specific skills or add ons and whatnot just for mana is because you start taking away from damage output. You want to be using your best skills at the proper CD timing for maximum dps, not because you have to regen mana. Same idea with add ons and consumables. The add on slot should be something offensive, not for sustain. Consumable wise that perfume slot could instead be an additional 20ap. These options are available when you have the infinite pot. Hope that makes sense.
@@NotTheWorstt that's true and my gripe was with these videos in general, having just come to the game and tag lvled berserkers, maegus and more and wanting a very basic guide to get started and all the videos are just like "this is how i grind 6bil an hour in outer space". But I didn't really even read the title so fair enough, my bad
It is more of a “why not?“. You end up with all the pve buffs needed and just run into overlap at certain points. Some people like movement speed there specifically for hexe but not as useful at say gyfin or trolls. Your most important ones are atk speed/ monster damage/ crit rate assuming your hit rate is setup correctly. After that crit damage/back damage where it makes sense and then you end up with some space for whatever works for you.
Skip the buff skills in the rotation and just use the damage ones. Just cycle through whatever is off CD. if you’re at a spot mobs die in 2/3 hits and get one shot with weapon, just use whatever is off cd and keep moving. No combo needed for that.
Can you please let me know what to enter in garmoth for the accuracy modifiers in the hit rate calculator? Like in the additional acc slot and what not (: thx
How come you use charmed and not Flow: Never River? It still gives +20ap, has front guard, does slightly more damage and I think it's quicker than using charmed (more dps) but could be wrong xD
Is there a way to put the commands the screen to learn them easily. I can only reminder around half of them. Is there a practice area in the game to get use to the combos. For the classics.
There aren't any skill "builds" anymore as every skill can be learned with ~1k skill points after an update about a year ago. I don't use any skill enhancements on maegu for PvE as her rotation is optimized without them. Also to note, the evasion debuff effect was removed from bared claws as of a patch yesterday, however the skill rotation remains the same.
DR for any class just coming off of season servers. Evasion is a very late game option for some classes (maegu is one of them), but it doesn’t really have any benefit until you are looking at around Pen armor at caphras 6 and above.
It’s probably fine but you could likely modify it a bit as the accuracy buff got changed and the overhaul of how add ons work would potentially change it up.
Mobs can’t be hit with down attack at gyfin, hexe, or trolls which is what the guide is aimed at. So the down attack won’t give you any additional damage but the back attack will.
@@lifefukseveryone7183 WTF you talking about, ALL her nerfs where to her damage Vs multiple targets, she still has insane fully protected mobility, shit tons of catches and CCs, more protected CCs than most classes and she's ranged, if your struggling in 1v1s outside of getting gear checked then you are the problem not the class.
