Now that we’ve got you hooked, I suggest trying Vatu and Evie out. They are 2 of the hardest flanks in the game to “master” as they have relatively high skill floors and infinitely high skill ceilings. Watching you play here, you’ve definitely got what it takes to do really well with them. Btw, think of vatu’s dashes like tracer’s but you can dash 3-dimensionally. Up, down, left, right; you can even dash backwards.
Vatu is 100 percent a character I wanna check out, Evie seems cool too but i’m leaning towards Vatu first. His dashes sound sick, having that much freedom to dash around sounds like a dream.
@@Acencity believe me, I main vatu like I main food; he is soooo much fun to flank with. But if you want to dash for fuckin ever, you gotta go with his third talent and the card that heals him every time he dashes. Without those, he’s super squishy.
@@Acencity good luck then, if you’re up to the challenge; get him to lvl 50. He arguably has one of the best looking gold skins in the game and his kunai have a purple trail when you throw them. OH a quick tip, when vatu throws his kunai, they spread like genji’s right click. But the closer you throw them directly up or downwards; the spread is minimized depending. I usually play sky flank with vatu where I dash upwards, hit a kunai for CD, and dash up again in a different direction. It’s great for anti-air targeting as well. It’s unexpectedly fun when you’re up against a good Drogoz.
Also , there is a maeve tech where you can reach higher places without using pounce. For it to work you need atleast chase 3 in your loadout ( i like to use chase 4 though) You use prowl and then you need to be close to a wall , it boosts you up kinda and you can climb higher places , it takes practice . Best example for where this is useful is the serpent map , for the towers.
Seeing you pick Rogue's Gambit on the first 5 seconds instead of that Street Justice shit from last game felt so satisfying. You have become one of us!
nyx (the tank that wouldnt die) has an ability that allows her to recieve the damage appied to her over time instead of instantly, allowing her to have a few more seconds in until her healers can save her, at that point there are 2 overlapping healthbars, the decaying health (purple), and the one that shows where her health should be at the end of it. my advice is: if u feel like u got her to 0, and ur getting shot at, get behind cover until the ability finishes, sh ll either die or get healed fr like 1000/1500 which u can delete in 2 to 3 shots. another thing to note is that when that ability is active the area around her is poisonous ( more reason for you to retreat)
maeve is super fun to play i instantly fell in love with the character design and im glad i will have this game to fall back on if overwatch is ever in a bad update/state, ive been having a lot of fun playing meave, skye, and koga i think they are very similar to genji, sombra, and tracer respectively and i can enjoy the fact that this game is in a healthier state of balance than overwatch is
Really enjoying watching new folks try Paladins and hearing their takes on things! "He's a fucking dragon!" xD great stuff ~ if you like Maeve, you should def. check out Vora and Vaatu, both are great mobility options and Vora is especially fun with her tendril that can get her flying across the map! Maeve is great too though - tbh there's more fun Paladins heroes than there are heroes in overwatch altogether xD
LOL I DIDN’T THINK U COULD ACTUALLY TURN INTO A DRAGON. Vaatu looks fun asf though and I think I could maybe like Vora too. Imo though it feels like paladins has a lot more variety when it comes to heroes when compared to overwatch. Which is honestly just such a W.

@@Acencity I used to call myself “the best Maeve on the sticks” bc I play controller (and played on ps4 for like 5 years before switching to pc) but that was in my cocky era lmao And hell yeah I’d love to see more Maeve (and paladins stuff in general) from you, the game is a blast and I don’t regret spending 7k hours on it
Your content is great, i love to see the perspective from newer players. Have you tried messing with loudouts yet? There a few busted ones for maeve. If you like mobility champions, try evie and vora as well! Good luck mate

However I wanna try some more soon, I definitely feel like theres some pretty crazy loadouts I haven’t tried. Vora looks pretty cool with the scythe. Evie doesn’t look bad either I just haven’t really looked into her as much yet as some of the other champions
Oh my god i miss playing maeve my main, its so much mobility on her back then its feels like you are on f1 while everybody driving normal car The character you said like pharah, drogoz. Damn man i wish you know that maeve can fly to the same height as it. I really do like to do aerial battle with willow and drogoz
just found ur channel and for 500 subs ur outputting amazing content so keep it up also vatu is similar to maeve but more movement and much harder learn but as a vatu main he is worth the grind
I'm not gonna say anything but there is a card that augments your sprint speed and jump height by I think it's 150% extra after an elimination , take rogues gambit , combine it with max shred and chronos and you will feel like a god damn race car
i love to see new players in paladins, and i like that you are also a maeve main like me😂 And maybe give deadly (item u can buy with credits in match) a try when u play on dmg ralent with maeve
Im not a Maeve main our anything but one tip for her is that you can just mid air after you dash so one good combo is shoot dash shoot jump shoot and if you killed them then you can dash agin mid air shoot a new target jump then shoot. Its like a chain also most the time the dash is better for movement then kills.
ah a new fellow Maeve User, welcome to the club, kitten She's my most playing champ and love her so much My build of Maeve is pure speed meme where she just goes Nyooom at every map running there and here, lol Well yeah, Gambit actualy fun way to play her, if you have godlike aim with her, you can just fly at enemies head and got triple or even penta while doing a flying cat, lol Only use Justice if enemy is like 3 tank or more, lol Also if you have great long range aim with maeve, maybe you want try Cat Burglar tho, its fun to shredding enemy shield and bubble using that There is one player that keep motivating me mastering her, that Techno guys, I love look at his Maeve gameplay so much

Street justice just seems busted imo, you just get to punish basically anyone if they hit 35%. I really am loving rogues gambit though because the resets feel nice when playing
I guess you know it but given that you complained that you wanted TDM: you can chose what modes you want to queue for, if nothing has changed having only TDM in queue will cost in terms of waiting time but you can do it if you want
Check out her Raeve skin. Her voice lines with it are awesome and it adds some cool music whenever you use abilities. The skins in this game are way better than overwatch!
He liked maeve, then he'll play vatu, then vii... and then we'll have a monster. nice video BTW. ps: nyx have somethin like imortality skill, but if you damage her fataly jus run, she gonna die. ps2: If the CC is strog, buy resilience item, it counter the CC a lot.
I think you hit the nail on the head pretty spot on. I definitely agree though that I should buy resil against certain comps. Cause sheeeshhh some cc in this game is busted 💀

You should play haven/veteran instead of life rip and kill to heal. In the end a round the healing reduction is around 50%, which makes life rip and kill to heal bad
@@Acencity Yeah, maeve hasn't been an instaban in years for ranked, not with the amount of more broken flanks in the game, like you saw with VII and Vatu. OP is probably a player from like 2018
Are u pllaying on US Server? If not then- I would love to join you in some games haha I have like 2500 hours and when i played actively was like diamond 2 or something xd never reached master sadly but still Idk why but every newbie starting playing maeve first If u like challenges try evie- hardest champ in game but the best if u master her- i have evie like on lvl 120 haha
