The difference is that the model kss 80 has a unique cross cut rail.You can do cuts to desired angle(compound angle),perfect results every time:)

The K85 is almost the same saw except it comes with a cross cutting rail. Thus it's base is slightly different by having an extra groove milled in it's base so as to allow to slide on the new slide rail. Other than that all the specs are the same. Hope this was somewhat enlightening. Kind regards.
