Spoilers: -Rick and Drephen didn't deserve to lose. -Shelly made 2 soul reads and didn't follow them. -HMW in a rare bad form. -If Drephen revealed, they could have a chance. -Dunk tried, but Ginger and numbers game squashed him. -Rick 200 IQ.

Even for not having the right reads most of the game they should have known something was wrong when Mango lived for like 4 nights straight

The entire Mafia team played so well. Mang0 put some pressure on his team to make them blend in, Ginger kept his cool under pressure (and that Vigi play too), Ludwig supported the rest of the Mafia, and KJH stayed under the radar the whole time.

That was a JV5.

I got so tight when Dunk pointed to 3 of the 4 mafia. and knew there was 4 mafia and everyone just rolled him into the grave. damn.

Been doing recaps & noting MVPs for each of the past few Mafia’s from summit’s 6 onward (watched em all from #1 though :D!) - here goes: -Mafia MVP: HMW / Ginger -Town MVP: Richard Mafia MVP Detail: In a quick scan of the comments, looks like everyone can see this as well….. HMW totally fucked this game. He helped hush all of the logical items that Richard, Hugo, Shelly (sp?) and Dunks were saying. It’s a weird juxtaposition with him, because he’s pretty transparent about not caring with win or loss, but it makes it hard for town based on this… Definitely the #1 reason Mafia won. Hard to neg this too much tho, because if nothing else it’s funny as hell lol. Also Ginger was boss mode, and mafia was looking good even if the town played better. My notes on him below. Other Mafia Notes: The core team was another dream team. Frontman Frontman RiskyGuy Quiet Guy. For the summit meta, this tends to be one of the S+ tier setups as far as people - in this case it was Frontman: Mango, Frontman: Ludwig, RiskyGuy: Ginger, Quiet Guy: KJH. For each of them: -Mango: Played a solid game, I give it an A-. He was lucky there was so much new blood, because I think more old school people would’ve agreed with Toph that Mango wasn’t quiet as ‘gung-ho’ in his town mayor role (realistically he conceded the mayor role to HMW… and he was glad to do so based on how HMW played out the dream scenarios for him in killing all the town). Sorry to downplay him here, because he did do a good job in feigning the mayor role and definitely was the A-frontman (similar to Hbox from last game). Good stuff, nothing crazy, but good stuff - the stuff that wins games from the hardest role to play in the mafia team. -Ludwig: Another good game, not as insane as last though. A-. He continued to vibe with his team and played into the role very well again. Granted, it was easy with how HMW was just setting up everything on a golden platter… but he deserves a high grade still for navigating some nuanced situations: i.e. he fooled Crunch with the good play of not voting Hugo even when Hugo was sus on him. I’m not explaining it well here, but trust me when I say it was well done - fooling Crunch is pretty tough, that’s enough credit there. -KJH: B+. Hard to get high grades in the easier role of the team, but easy to mess up. And KJH did not mess up, and in fact made a perfect play in turning the tables on Toph when he was boxed into a corner by HMW to start giving his reads. Nothing earth shattering, but kudos for making a play when needed, and playing good quiet mafia support elsewhere. -Ginger: A+. The vigi call was boss. Just peeeeeeeeerfect, and played off of everything that happened in the game. Can’t not give the man an A+, this was just too good. After everyone believing Richard was mafia and kill power was 1 for the remaining days, the vigi claim for the surprise double kill was just amazing. In high play this might be more textbook, but still - even good players could probably appreciate this one. It was gooood, can’t say it enough. Only gripe on Ginger was when he was going around the circle giving vibes, he said “eh not sure on Mango”, and by that point in the game it was pretty widely seen that Mango was town mayoring with little resistance, so he probably was more believable to just saying something like “mango is probably town”. But this is nitpicking a grand slam, he killed that vigi piece… which only worked because of the double taps. Double Taps: A+. This was good to throw off the smart members (Crunch, Hugo), and setup such a fucking sweet false vigi claim. This setup was very risky and I’m not even sure if one can say it was worth it (which is why it fooled everyone so hard - no one could believe that the mafia double tapped twice, thus setting up the majestic vigi claim). Ludwig did a great job running numbers, which was honestly a very town move - and that cemented Dunk’s fate. The mafia didn’t even have to deliver the final nominations for the win, it was Crunch & HMW. Double tapping is the most yolo thing, and definitely a Mango thing. Mango laid the ground work and got everyone to agree for double taps, KJH supported and made his Toph play at a good moment, Ginger fucking nailed his vigi claim Rockstar style, and Ludwig carried it home - kinda like the last game. Scary mafia team honestly, one of the best in recent memory. Town: HMW. That’s all. Just Kiddin', here's the Important Town Notes: -Richard was doing some sick shit, and if Hugo and Crunch could actually listen to what he was saying (he was getting cut off by HMW), they might’ve been better off in the later rounds at least remembering what he said. I think it was impossible for a new guy to make it far in the landscape (just different turfs), but -Dreffen (sp?) needed to cop check better people. Crunch literally told him to check mango, and he really should’ve then (before that point if anything). Fairly weak cop play, could tell he was confused. -Chillin died as medic in just early RNG (Chillin dying specifically was based on the flow of convo, but the RNG part is that he happened to also be medic), that sucked for town. -Shelley (sp?) actually had some good reads, and I’d like to defend her a little as she was just getting bashed this game. Agree her day 1 read was wrong but also agree it’s not a big deal, and she ended up being right on Ginger, and a few other sus reads. However her execution is lacking for this environment. She’s weak in rallying the people behind a decision - and probably needs to read the room better. She’s probably used to playing with different people/personalities/relationships. Think she needs to find a better angle to get her thoughts out, because the strong aggro / town mayor~esque thing wasn’t working for the game (everyone expects mango to town mayor.. it just happens), and was mostly making everyone lose confidence in anything she said (and that’s not just HMW being goofy or the mafia like Mango playing her, everyone in the room including smart people like Void were starting to lose her). Other: -Toph wtf? He’s much stronger a player usually but he must’ve been tired or something - he was just like a zombie this game (usually not like this). His mango read was good, why not say something earlier? He just seemed tired / out of it. -Dunks was alright. Just got screwed by perfect play from mafia + HMW. Only suggestion is that once he had the blessing of being “totally town”, he should’ve started doing some more aggro stuff / giving reads. -Crunch followed the lines of logic, but was just screwed from day 1 where Richard was silenced (Crunch is the kinda guy who would’ve listened to everything Richard said, and despite maybe killing him would hold on to the info to consider that set of information as reality in later time… but this possibility was erased because HMW silenced Richard talking over him etc.) I think Crunch was just screwed with the town he was with. He needed another strong Town and maybe could’ve made plays, he’s a good player and unfortunately once the mafia got the ball rolling with the double taps there was 0% crunch was gonna win, he follows logic and the mafia did some sick plays to feign logic. -Hbox rip -Void waited too long to drop info, he’s smart too. Should’ve tried to be a lil more aggro. Agree it’s annoying to get to talk though… He’s definitely stronger in the s.ultimate rooms, knows them better I guess… -Hugo just got wrecked by bad town, his defense wasn’t perfect but it could’ve been a little better. Also in general, want to start making plays for town earlier. He made a great strategy in Summit 8 Mafia #1, just bad execution. But the strategy is still really important, he can be good town - just help earlier with stuff. -Vish Rip, got killed too early before could contribute. Funny as shit tho when he did chime in… funny guy -Last guy (Azn fella) I forgot his name, but he was kinda useless this game. He mentioned he did not have the meta reads/experience, and that was good on him to recognize that - but it was true enough to make it so that he couldn’t really contribute as town. He actually had some good lines of logic but felt like he was too far removed from the meta of the room to help. Gg’s though, and stay tuned for the next one and the next - Cheers!

Town... just didn't use their brains last night. Also mango was so different this night. Kjh is quiet and didn't get pressured enough in general. Crunch was super sus even though he was town. HMW just didn't care about the result at all. It was just bad overall.

Rick, could have won it for town. Everything he said would have lead to situations that he could make read and progress the game. He just confused them when he was just trying to create reads and building scenarios to find and bait mafia.

Guy has legit reads night 1 and he's voted off as the so-called smart player Crush circle jerks "I like Ginger's defense of what'd I do?" Honestly is waffles just looking for excuses to not play anymore? Night one I felt like he was confused and frustrated and when he said that maybe he shouldn’t play anymore I felt for him and wanted him to continue, he used to be entertaining in this and also, it’s ok to be wrong and not know. But this game made me so mad. He kept talking over people and calling people out for not just purely randomly reading. I mean c’mon, let people play, trying to build a case and figuring things out like Richard tried to do is the game! Let people play and listen to eachother! It feels like he’s almost trying to act bad so that people won’t complain if he stops playing Mafia.

They should do speed Mafia instead, with 5 people instead. The big groups are just the same people talking and leading them around.

Godlike for Mafia, medic died super early, the Mafia Con guy got rekt by HMW, and even though that guy tried to save the cop, the cop died anyway. Great start for them, and really solid performance afterward. Town got annihilated haha

I love Mango, but he has wayyyy too much sway in these games. He drives public opinion way too much because of how well liked he is outside the game. Even when someone is defending themselves, he'll go 'you're dead dude' and everyone bandwagons on it.

chelly was right about most of her shit but they used the fact that she was wrong about chillen to try and make her out as trash town and distract from the ginger shit. maf played this one super well. also vigi should have stayed quiet and capped ginger at night.

Best way to watch. -When they voted on Ginger and only two people raised their hands, I knew he was Mafia because if he was town, at least the 4 Mafia would have voted him out. -Mango was playing differently from the previous game so after about day two he was very sus to me. -Toph was also playing differently. He is vocal when Mafia, but he quiet when town so I knew he was town. -When Dunk came out as Vigi, I believed him because the entire scenario all fell together. He should have been more adamant about staying alive. He needed to convince the rest of town because he knew 100% that there were 4 Mafia. -The only lynch that I felt good about was Rick. All the others I thought were town.

(Spoilers) Ginger and Ludwig actually played amazing, but everyone’s underrating their performance because of how bad town was. Also, why not reveal cop day 2 if you find a mafia? You get rid of their double tap, and if medic is still alive they can save you to give you one more free check. Lastly, it was probably a lost cause already, but if Dunk hadn’t counted-claimed town would have had one more chance to find a mafia, then Dunk could take out Ginger. The next day his claim could be verified since 2 deaths at that point meant one had to be vigi since 4 mafia would be a win. Instead his claim just incriminated himself more and more and painted a target on himself ending the game. Had Dunk not claimed, who do you think town would have lynched instead?
