Mafia II is Still Gold 

If there is one game that needs a current gen remaster, it's Mafia II. That and Max Payne 3.

Mafia 2 is still one of my favorite games of all time! I have completed it about 10 times lol

This is one of my favourite games ever. I'm only sad we didn't get the original scope and depth that the devs were aiming for.

I only wish we got all the cut content... all the missions and random events... right now it's a good game, but when I read on all the things that they cut, it's so bad by comparison. It can be so so SO much more than what we ended up getting. We need a remaster of this game with all cut content restored. That would literally be THE best game ever made.

Maybe it's because I just love the 40's - 50's style but I love this game. Definitely needs a remaster

It really is a great game, honestly when it first released I wasnt very impressed with it, at that time gta4 was already out for two years prior to mafia 2 and mafia 2 was really nothing like gta aside it was open world. So I ended up just playing gta4 and never really played mafia 2 much. Recently I just dl'd it on my pc and I am hooked! It still holds up very well in the graphics department and the attention to detail in it is pretty incredible. Shootouts are a blast, with great controls...driving included. Just a lot of fun to play. I'd have to say now, this game was definitely better then gta4, on nearly every level. Only thing this is missing was an online mode. With all this being said, wtf happened with Mafia 3?????

Bruh I Remember downloading the 10min demo and playing it nonstop till I saved up enough lawn mowing money to buy the full game off the Xbox live store cause I was too scared to ask my mom for a rated M game I was in like 6th grade😭😭

Man I finished this game just today after finishing mafia 3 a couple of days ago. Yeah long story short even tho playing on PS Now with bad graphics this game blew my mind just how good the story was and the details. I can truly say this game made me a fan of Mafia game series. The game is definitely still gold.

I played this game to death 7-8 times when I was only 14 and then I completely got addicted to gangster movies and started watching all of them... The Godfather, Goodfellas, Casino, Sopranos, Donnie Brasco, Mean Streets, The Untouchables you get the picture.... And not to mention the 50s and 60s songs I got addicted to... Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, Duane Eddy, Bo Diddley, Little Richard, Del Shannon, Chuck Berry you name it.. I just started listening to all of them and got obsessed with them to the point of downloading all those songs on my computer and listening all day... this game sure had the most impact on my life growing up as a kid... and I am really grateful that I discovered this beautiful game when I did... and as a result it became a substantial portion of my childhood and influenced me in ways I could only imagine... I also played other games like gta sa, far cry 3 and assassin's creed brotherhood but mafia 2 influenced me the most and will always be in my heart.... and from then on I was always trying to speak like those italian wiseguys and pretending like them... it became a habit... haha...

Bro, I've played thru this game 3 times and I still love it. This game is my favourite game that I have ever played. It is legit amazing when it comes to sentimental stuff as well as the storyline. It sucks that Joe is working for Leo in Mafia 3 I really hope they do another game of Mafia from what happened with Joe after he was taken away and what Vito was doing during that time to gain his status in Mafia 3....legit man, f me I love this game with all my heart

I’ll never forget when Mafia 2 was part of Games with Gold back in 2015. I didn’t get around to playing it until Thanksgiving of that year, but during that week I spent playing it I fell in love with the story. To this day it’s my favorite game ever. Currently playing the original Definitive Edition. I know everyone claims that 1 is better, but 2 is still the crown jewel for me.

this game was my childhood. My dad didn't let us get any of the GTA cause they had violence *shocker* but he was interested in Mafia II because he was obsessed with the God Father, thinking it would be the same thing. He didn't really end up playing it so I played it instead and instantly fell in love with it.

I played the Mafia l Remake and I still prefer this over the 1st one. It might be my nostalgia as a kid but something about ll is just better then I to me.

I skipped it back in 2010 because it looked to me nothing but an uninspired GTA clone with a smaller budget...but damn I was wrong. Played it in 2015-2016, loved it for its story and characters. Replayed it just recently and still love it today. I was amazed how good the game is. It's not the most polished game, but it has something that many modern AAA games lack, and that's heart. I respect it for that. Too bad Mafia 3 didn't meet the same expectations.

Especially now after the remake. Looks a lil better with tweaked up graphics. Absolute classic. They dont make games like this nomore...

I’m still hopeful Hangar 13 will come to their senses and remake this masterpiece because frankly the definitive edition doesn’t cut it as a final release for such a great game. It’s such an experience that brings all the vibes. This game with polished graphics and maybe a few other additions would definitely be worth it and I’d happily pay a decent price for it. Playing the definitive edition is a ticking time bomb sometimes, you’re just anticipating the next crash, not acceptable for such a classic

Such a great game .. Only only thing disappointing was not bein able to roam after story ..Apart from that really enjoyable and challenging at times .
