Why is anyone surprised about a racist Hispanic? Im 54 and I grew up in Pomona and Long Beach CA and one of my first experiences with racism was from Hispanics. The brown isn't down with us and they never have been.

It has never been about America pretending to be anything. It has ALWAYS been about America ATTEMPTING to be better. It is about NEVER giving up the FIGHT of attempting to be better. We have all been made shockingly aware that there are voting American maga lunatics who want nothing to do with that concept.

NOT will always be... not necessarily anyway. Remember... the USA is an astounding political experiment never before seen in human history. ANYONE can "be an American" because it is based upon a shared set of basic social values rather than ethnicity, religion, or even shared history/traditions. That's weird. Unusual. Unique. Sadly, Republicans are pretty clear they reject those values.
