In the late 80s me and 7 pals came to Magaluf for two weeks. Can’t think of the hotel we stayed in but we discovered Tokio Joes bar and that is where we ended up every night. Think it was a bit below street level. We had some great times there. SSS&S. IYKYK. LOL
Really enjoyed this Alex. The strip looked very quiet. Tbh I did prefer the vibe when you got down to son Matias beach that looked much more relaxed (or I’m showing my age 😂😂)
Ha, thanks Tommy! Now there is a part 2 to this!! (just need to edit at some point!). I try to keep the videos short(ish) and sweet! It's a lot to ask to watch beyond 10ish minutes, otherwise, you could be watching Netflix!
Hi Alex. Intresting video. Pre covid I recall the strip would be alot more busy than this. Less bars on the strip. More takeaways now. Times are changing. I visit more than 5 times a year. I know where the best value bars are and the ones which are a rip off. Loving your videos and info you provide. Take care.
Hi Andrew, that's really interesting. If you ever want to be in one of my videos, or have time for a chat I'd love an insight into Magaluf as a regular. Where you find value. Let me know!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun Hi Alex. Yes it would be great to meet up with you. I will be over 4 weeks today (22 Oct) its my Sons 30th Birthday. 11 family members should be fun.
Oh my days what a change. First went in 93 with my mates & then again in 97 & am trying yo remember what was Alexandra’s at the bottom of the strip which might be where that Red Lion is now? Tokyo Joe’s gone on hill & there was a great place called The Pink Elephant on the hill. Great to see Banana Disco is still going though!
I was in Magaluf in the start of September 2023 (Between 6th and 13th of September 2023) and there was less people than in August 2022. But i was in BCM, Pirates, Mansion and Oceans Beach Bar. There was great "Silent party" in Capitol. I wouldn't think that "The Strip" is so quite now. I was on 2 Boat Parties :) On Sunset Heatwave Cruise and Boujee Boat. I've taken Party Package from Party Hard Travel (with Boujee Boat included). Sunset Heatwave Cruise ticket i bought as single ticket. I love that Boat Parties :) This year (2023) i stayed in Hotel Samos and last year (2022) in HM Martinique. I'm gonna go there again in summer 2024 :)
@@anthonythomas514 Sunset Heatwave Cruise. It's much bigger than Boujee Boat. You should go to both Boat Parties and make your own opinion. It was great :)
it is quiet but it is early, I've been there when you couldn't see the road, reminded me of coming out of the football grounds years ago think it was July about 1 or 2 in the morning and we were going home! then the was the time we asked for another drink in Lennon's they said lads its gone 4 in the morning we are closing 🙈🙈😱
Still eating my evening meal at 9pm..didn't take the clients out until 10pm. Prince William until 10 before heading to the strip until I finished work at 2am. Can you do a sunrise in magaluf next.🙂
The later we are in the season, the fewer young people there are in Mallorca. That explains why Palmanova seems crowded compared with Magaluf. Older people have always preferred Palmanova to Magaluf. There used to be a karaoke bar called The Stagecoach in the early 90s where Capitol is now. Before Capitol, there was a Chinese restaurant. The Black & White has gone out of business and The White Horse has been for sale for a few years. It was very busy 33 years ago! 😁
Alex. We are back in the wonderful Playa Moreia, S’illot tomorrow. If you are over that way next week it would be lovely to meet with you again (we literally bumped into you in May). Ice cream will be on us if you can make it. Loads of love Jules & Gaz.X 😊
I remember you guys! Yes, I need to make a Sillot Sa Coma return. I'll be down there this week - the weather is lovely all week! . I'll leave a comment here or I'll put something on Facebook! And I'll definitely take you up on the ice cream!
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun hi Alex. Not sure if you are interested but the market starts at 4.00pm this evening in S’illot. Outside Playa Moreia. Hope to see you soon. Jules & Gaz
