Go to Eastern Europe. All the large city buildings are owned by the government. No private business can thrive in corrupt government settings. Yes in Los Angeles the business will move out and the banks who own those buildings will be “bailed out” but he government taking share in those buildings. Once the government has control over the buildings they will open them to homeless housing. In effect creating a city full of bought and paid for voters. We give you room amd board you vote Democrat. Los Angeles will eventually become nothing but a farm where the government does nothing but grow and cultivate Democrat voters.

I just moved from Seattle to Cairo, IL figuring I was trading one defunct shithole for another. You'd think with the race riots, floods, and degradation of the community(Cairo, not Seattle, hard to tell these days tho), it'd never bounce back. As it died, they finally decided to demolish the low income housing. And like some kind of miracle, businesses are starting to come back, crime is down. A new port is being built up early next year. Not sure affordable housing is the answer you're seeking... but what you guys got isn't working, either.

Yes, and they should be confronted at every opportunity. Of course, they live in walled surroundings and don't have to pass through these areas. I think they should put up makeshift offices right in the middle of this garbage and this is where all our leaders will have to come to conduct their business. They need to be required to spend at least 8 hours a day right in the middle of all the trash. I was in LA last year and I couldnt tell if I was in a good neighborhood or a bad one most of the time . Homelessness looked extreme. There was so much rubbish even then when this news station is claiming it was being cleaned. They need to take better care of people there it's ridiculous the extravagance of LA and yet there were homeless mini tent towns.

All I hear is people complaining about someone else being homeless. I would LOVE to see one of those people have everything they own stripped of a home or a place to put it . With no where to go. And no money . What would all their precious belongings look like . How far would they be able to move it ,alone. Would give up and die. Or would they survive ,would they beg for help. Or make due with nothing for their family . You all make me sick. Where would you pee . Where would you sleep . How would you survive if it was you homeless. Thats what we need to think about but on a much larger scale . Until we find an answer stop complaining use that worthless energy on finding an answer . The RIGHT answer. What would you need if it was you . And that was your belongings being called garbage. And you had NOWHERE to go the restroom. Terran William's. Here near Seattle my husband fed homeless on Sundays for several years. So many of these people do not want indoors. That's one reason they flood the west coast. There needs to be treatment centers for those willing and able to recover whatever and help getting on their feet and institutions for the MANY who have fried their brains on meth or have serious mental problems from abuse and neglect. Its complicated but there is also alot of help out there for those who will take it to better their situation. Many just don't want the help, just a buck for drugs ect. You don't see many families.

How are you going to get homeless men (mostly) living in tents on the sidewalk to clean up after themselves? Even if they wanted to, where are the dumpsters? Where are the bathrooms? The running water? The supplies for cleaning? The city invited destitute people to live on the sidewalks - the city should clean it up because this certainly is not the taxpayers job to get out there and do the cleaning themselves.

And shockingly, the major clean-up contractors getting the bids and making huge amounts of money are all well connected with the Democrats, what a shocker. They clean (it's like 10X what you or I would charge to clean it) and then 72 hours later, it's a feces ridden crap hole again. They are loving it. Meanwhile the news just says "actually Trump did all of this" and the voters lap it up like it's cream and honey.

Homelessness doesn't mean a departure from personal and environmental cleanliness. We our not homeless currently, but we tend to create far less waste than most - without regard to political affiliation. Just do with less and have less to get rid of. I think we would all do better to depend on less.

These people need to take care of themselves and if they don't want to they need to be relocated like a bear that gets into trash... they need to be relocated into the woods far away from society where they can't get their drugs and their handouts.... How exactly are they going to take care of themselves with no house where are they going to have running water a business going to want them to use their bathroom and spread disease. Who would want to hire that mess of a person what will they put on their resume. If they are in a homeless shelter and that shows on a job application they won't want to hire that person. What about a phone chlothes for a job it's likely to be destroyed or stolen. There is also the fact that many have become phychotic from being in social isolation on the street no one would want to hire that. This is the reason many just commit suicide. With many people being kicked out or relying on the food bank due to the economic downturn it's about to become much worse.
