Great job Neil and all! I'm originally from Sonoma County. I came up here over 30yrs ago to heal, did just that and joined the then large amount of tri athletes that came up here to train on my mountain bike. The trails up here are off the hook! The back roads over to the coast can't be beat for hill training and the trails around the lake are extremely technical. I also spent a lot of time along the Eel River that leads up into the Snow Mt. Wilderness, to my knowledge one if not the longest rivers in CA, and where I taught my daughter to river swim. Mendocino County is not growing so much as changing. Everything has always been here and in place once the people became ready to share. I think at this point, they are realizing there is no other way and hopefully are putting out the welcome mat for we have a lot to share!
WOW - What a great area. Not only the ocean and all that it offers but also the Jackson State Demonstration Forest. That sounds like a great Mtn Biking area w/200(!) miles of trails? Very cool. And that guy Roo - He's like a Guru for the trails.
