- Nothing in his game was about force. He was elegant and suave. - People talk about LeBrons IQ but Magic's reads were impeccable. He controlled the pace of games with or with pick and rolls, with or without help, with or without the 3 point shot, with or without post-ups. - Even though not a shoot first, Magic was really clutch. - He was able to score from 5 to 6 places on the floor automatically. - You see the Lakers play and you see how poorly the game is played today. Players had 3 key go to moves and they wouldn't miss if not blocked.

Man woolridge dunks the ball with authority. Too bad he left the team the following season. This team with woolridge and Cooper would have given the bulls alot more trouble in the finals if all were healthy.

This 1990 Lakers team was 63-19 and lost the last 2 games of the regular season because Pat Riley sat ALL the starters(was fined by the NBA)! This team should have been playing Detroit for the 3rd straight year in the Finals. When they played Phoenix, their game completely went south! Had they played close to their abilities, they would've contended for another title! Magic had a beautiful season winning his 2nd MVP and did his part in the playoffs, but he couldn't do it alone!

It didn't help that Magic couldn't defend his own shadow vs Phoenix. They didn't want him guarding KJ which was understandable....but putting him on the slower less effective off the dribble Jeff Hornacek didn't help because he couldn't stop him either.

@@FuShengAlex That's not why they lost in '90! They swept the Suns in '89, they beat them 3 out of 4 during the regular season, only losing an OT game in Phoenix(which they were up double-digits with 3 to 4mins left)121-119! They had the best record in the league at 63-19 as well! They lost Gm.#1 104-102, came back and blew the Suns out by 24pts in Gm.#2, then the bottom fell out. Worthy and Scott were terrible, especially in Phoenix! Worthy shot 39% for the series, and Scott had 4pts in Gm.#3 and 9pts in Gm.#4! Plus, that Lakers team had played all-the-way to the Finals for 3 straight years! To the Suns credit though, they shot well, and Mark West plugged the middle up solidly and KJ was penetrating into the lane almost at will! But, had the Lakers played to their abilities, they would have beat the Suns, and probably Portland as well. They split with Portland 2-2 with their 2 losses coming in OT and 2OT! But, that's how it goes! You either show-up and play, or your gone. N

Fun little clip of the March 9, 1990 game. Can you make a Chicky Baby Hearn month, too? Big Game James had 24 points in this one. Mullins led the W's with 22. The Warriors had Tim Hardaway, Mitch Richmond, Manute Bol and Hall of Fame Lithuanian player Sarunas Marciulonis on the team that year.

Are these games you happen to have recorded? Or do you find them somewhere online?
