Oh man, what I would have done to be the newscaster who had to do that card trick. Because I seriously do know an incredibly, INCREDIBLY long and time-wasting card trick with a fully legitimate and long backstory about how I learned it at church after stealing full nipples' worth of grape juice from the old lady in the kitchen.
