it takes longer to shave with that cream than with an electric razor and it stinks and it's not nearly as effective as an electric razor. i'm not even going to bother with lidocane
I'm 35. I've been shaving since 14. 6 of those year were in the Navy where I was shaving daily. And still getting in trouble because I have a 5 o'clock shadow before lunch. Now, I go 3 days max just to get a break from the razor. Saw this stuff at Walmart and I figured I'd give it a try. 4 minutes, nothing. 7 minutes, I got little specks off. And 15 minutes, same effect as 7 minutes. And my face burns, obviously. Needless to say, this stuff is useless on me. I have an extremely course beard. I really wanted some relief from blades on my face. And my wallet would appreciate the break too!
Did you apply it to your face after shaving? I'm reading an article on how it works, the chemicals make the hair soft and mushy so they can slide out, but the cream has to be all up on your skin so it can get down in there
I have now been using the black and gold can of Magic Shave for several months. I have not used the white and red tube he is using. I use it EVERYWHERE (legs, arms, underarms, chest, nutz) on my body except for my face because I have a beard but. I do use it on my neck without any problems but my razor works better on my neck. But for the rest of my body this is the way to go! I use it on my "boys" without any issues whatsoever. The only place that I experienced irritation is the area around the taint and the fold where my legs meet my butt. I leave it on for 7 minutes. Most people think it's only for black guys but I'm white so go for it. I love it.
@@rong.thej.d.5969 you can use it on your nutz without any burn. At least for me. But don't use it underneath your sack around the taint. That can burn in that very sensitive area. Balls are absolutely no problem. Use the black and gold can. It's more mild. No more than 7 minutes.
@@rong.thej.d.5969 I was using Magic Shave today and thought of a few more things I should tell you. If you do your chest avoid your nipples. If you do your underarms I would probably only go 5 minutes and see how it goes. In the pubic area (bush) I experienced ingrown hairs on regrowth so I don't use it there. I just trim. Afterwards, if I have any sensitivity anywhere I use a coco butter stick. Not skin lotions or creams. Hydrocortisone stings. Use the coco butter stick.
This stuff just couldn't touch my viking-esque facial hair. Smelled awful like it was trying to work, maybe some of it softened and thinned but...nope not even a single hair came out. Then again disposable razors that are supposed to last a month or more would dull after 2 weeks on my face. Was hoping I could get rid of 5 o'clock shadow without the itch and sting of incoming hairs from shaving...perhaps this stuff can take the edge off the hairs to lessen it but...it's frustrating.
that's regular shaving cream you take off with a razor. this stuff chemically melts your stubble off your face. i followed the instructions on the tube.
theoretically, it should work on all hair! i wouldn't advise the nether regions because of the pain. look up the active ingredient and see what it's uses are. if it's just "hair removal" i don't have a reason why not!
The diections and procedures are cumbersome. It's highly impracticable to accomplish for a busy man. It's all rubbish. Take for example, if after the first application, any areas not properly removed cannot be removed sameday. You have to wait for 24hrs before starting all over. The manufacturers should make it easier to use. The rules are highly prohibitive
so you can see that it does not work properly. removed 10-20% of hair. and again the question, HOW does it work? dissolves hair? so no, not towel wash damaged hair. or cream expands pores and hair is removed from the root?
the active ingredient chemically burns the hair off the root. providing a 100% clean shave if done right. i was too sensitive for the burning sensation to leave it on any longer. you're supposed to wash it off with water but the water wasn't washing it off fast enough for me so i used a towel because it burned so much i wanted it off quickly.
@@DavidLinn that is, burning occurs on the surface of the skin, at the root of the hair? the root itself remains intact and remains inside the skin? then why doesn't the hair dissolve completely?) in any case, experiments with chemical burning of hair I would not spend on myself)
@@ДанилаМастерЛомастер I'm not sure the science behind it.the burning occurs on the surface of the skin, the root remains intact and alive under the surface of the skin. i used to remember what the process was but i don't have the bottle anymore to look up the active ingredient.
@@DavidLinn then repeat the question) if the roots are not affected, why hair is not destroyed along its entire length, but only as the base?) strange as something
@@ДанилаМастерЛомастер probably because the cream doesn't get into the pore where the root is. as i said. i'm not sure the exact science. i just know that somehow when i put it on and left it there for a few minutes, i wiped it off with a paper towel and the hairs were on the paper towel fully intact but the roots were not attached. the roots were still alive and healthy in my skin.
i had no side effects. varies from person to person. i tried it once, it was too painful and didn't do a good job at removing my face wires because i didn't leave it on long enough because of the pain. try it. if it doesn't work well, don't use it any more. have a severe reaction go to ER. common sense.
It doesn't work. It's all a marketing gimmick. Use the shaving tool that works for you. As me, buying this magic stuff was a complete waste of money(CWOM). Period.
it works. it worked on me. i just needed it to stay on longer to get ALL the hair. it burned too much for me to do that. but it does work. you might be using not enough or have extremely thick hair or not letting it stay on long enough
