Followed the steps. The first seconds, the track points are spinning like crazy in AE. Tried changing the coordinate space option but still same. Hard to make a consistent path when the track points are acting crazy. Hope someone has a solution.
There's a bug with the frame rate from google earth studio, when you import the jpg sequence in after fx, go to project right click on the jpg sequence, interpret footage and change the frame rate to match your comp in after fx. 🤙
I am having the same issue. Can some tell me what I did wrong? I have followed the steps exactly till this point. I suspect when rendering out from Google Earth Studio, the coordinates should be local and not Global?

I just started my own small business which offer property videos for real estate market (properties for sale and for rent). I don't have drone so I would like use Earth Studio just to show property location, area around etc. but because I charge for my videos then does it allow me to use Google Earth Studio or only non profit projects are allowed? The watermark is 100% required. Regarding use, generally speaking, the video you created is to educate about a commercial interest and is not the actual product. Charging your time for computer services seems reasonable... But, it's a very gray area, legally.
Beautiful explaining! My only problem is that I cannot flatten the buildings at all. I know that you adjust the settings in the Attributes section, but I cannot bring up 3D Buildings or Environment tabs. Your help is greatly appreciated!!
Hi! Thx for this video. I tried to follow your advices step by step. When i tried to set the orientation and the position of 0 i didnt have the the Rectangle with the blue cover. I tried to make the path but i never had my path in the contets. Can somebody tell me, why i dont have the same options in the adobe? Thank you!
Brilliant! I've been using GES and shape layers for a while, but I never came across that technique for occluding with the Google 3D content. Very clever.
I don't usually comment on videos but you have made me finally understand how Google Earth Studio works in AE. I just didn't get it till you said that AE just makes a ground plane its not really "3D" and then it all made sense! Thank you!!!
i have literally tried this hundreds of times and can not get the path to track. When I create the blue rectangle and zero out the position and orientation the rectangle looks half-sized, which can't be right.
Is it possible to create a 3D path in After Effects in order to tune its altitude to better fit the Google Earth map altitude? It would be really useful to create trekking maps, where mountains create huge altitude shifts.

Yes. You can use automatically generated KML (like maps for cars, trains, buses, bikes, walking) or you can draw your own in Earth Pro (desktop). You can even use GPS data from watch or other websites (flightaware)
done it ten times, and the path wont follow the road as camera moves.. do this tutorial skip something important in GES or AF, as I have tried everything to get the drawn path stay at the same 3d layer as the retangel tied to centerpoint, but it's just go off.. step by step with this and no luck
