I’m gonna make Mathas as edh next. I just finished building my Breena Voltron which is sick as a mean $2,000 deck edh. I want to continue building politics edh, but more 3- man and beyond. Also, I love the splash of red which Breena doesn’t have to get me more red spells and other stuff that I can do a lot more. Hopefully, I can build Mathas into a complete political with either straight burn combo deck. But, with some cheaper cards than my breena :).
@@CommanderVoid Did my part to try and give you a little boost old.reddit.com/r/EDH/comments/mtuuza/giving_commander_void_some_love/ Thank you for your content!
Tasigur is my favorite deck to pilot by far! Began by slowly cutting staples like eternal witness for cards like skullwinder and healing technique, and before I knew it I had a politics/pillowfort deck! I want to try and squeeze in monarch too for the theme. Still figuring out how to have enough politics to convince an ally it's worth letting me do that.
Also could you do a deck tech on a 5 color enchantress build? I've built one from scratch but tbh I've barely seen any online and almost none without like the shrine package. I'd like to see your approach on it and I think it would be a nice topic for a video :P
Pramikon is so dang political when you read between the lines. Also a political commander Im looking forward to is The Beamtown Bullies from the Riveteers commander deck 4 mana (green, red, black, and 1 of any color) 4/4 with vigilance and haste. Tap: Target opponent whose turn it is puts target nonlegendary creature card from your graveyard onto the battlefield under their control. It gains haste. Goad it. At the beginning of the next end step, exile it. So not only is it quite aggressive, but gives my opponent a creature for the turn to use how they please that they cant attack me with. Perfect deal
I really enjoy my Kwain, Ittinerant meddler deck. Lots of card drawing for the tables and a few hatebear and pillowfort cards to trim down the crazy stuff. He LOOK's underwhelming and I guess this is why you did not include him in your list.
My favorite why to build politics is to play group slug/light stax. Sure, you can remove my enchantments, but just keep in mind how much it’s hurting your other opponents. I’m stopping everyone else from winning too. And you talk your way out of getting targeted and eventually no one has the mana to attack you and taking any game action costs 3 life, your board can’t be targeted, and then you accidentally win. Whoops
I am disappointed that the victis asmadi is not on this list just because he targets each player doesn't mean he has to Target the best thing on the board for each player it provides an opportunity to make deals and with the deck as you can set up what you're going to get you can even make deals to eliminate one of your own better threats meanwhile replacing it with an even worse one
I like pramikon but the fact that you force your oponentes is kind of boring like if you want to play politics the fun is making them do it with your words not because a card says so
