So nice to see Dopey again. Baby Dopey is the reason why I fell in love with the monkeys of Monkey Hill. One look at those big eyes and that tiny wobbly body and I was hooked forever! Life certainly can be wonderful and these videos help a lot. Thank you, Arroz!
Dopey looks so much like Reddy now all grown up😊 it warms my heart to see him in these episodes but leaves a lingering bitter sweetness... Reddy's been a busy Mama the past several years and she's doing a good job raising beautiful (amd handsome) strong, curious and eventually Independent kids...Some of us human Mama's could learn alot from our primate cousins in child rearing 😊

Miss Reddy is a remarkable mother. Baby boy is so cute, but there will never be another Dopey. Of all the babies, he had the most expressive eyes, with his feelings written all over his face. Thank you Dr. M. for the dose of happy ♡

I don’t know what made me tear up when I saw dopey.maybe it was because he’s the first baby I fell in love with when I found your channel. Maybe it’s because he was such a cute adorable little goober...maybe it was seeing him all grown with his expressive eyes still the same and lastly maybe it’s because although just a few years ago the world was a much different place. I miss our little dopey....and I miss the world back then.

What a cute scene at 7:47 with Bessy’s arm around Starry. She is such a sweet monkey and all of Reddy’s kids are sweet too. I also miss Bobby and Dopey. I do hope he pop in for a quick visit to see his new baby brother.
Oh AM, you almost always leave me in tears and this one was particularly moving. I love how you hang out with our gang, give hampers as needed, take direction from their body language, and make us love those beauties as much as you do (or so we like to think). I am ashamed to say that I lived in HK from 94 to 96 and I never went to the hill, never even knew about it--I felt totally privileged to be able to hear the gibbons yelling, and watch their antics in the botanical gardens I walked from Mid-levels (Mui Do) to Central. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and watching the babies become yearlings, the adolescents become mothers or move away; I've felt the loss of some of the babies, and as I say, tears fall during almost all of your videos. You are so great at what you do, I love your work, I love the world you've generously shared with us, and I love you too. Thanks for the memories, and thanks for still going up the hill.

Good Lord, I never thought I’d become so attached to an animal I’d never met in person but Dopey has stolen my heart ❤️ and I just can’t get enough of the videos of him growing up. I even got my husband into them though he won’t let on that he’s as enamored of Dopey’s antics as I am I can tell by his ear to ear grins he is.😁. What a privilege we have had watching this lil guy grow into the confident young man he is today. Thank you Arroz for sharing the experience with us.❤️ As a footnote, I’m a little surprised to see that out of his siblings it is his sister Dimpy and not brother Dopey that more closely resembles Dopey. None of them however have his trademark eyes 👀.🥰

Oh Arroz I am so pleased we all got to see our special boy Dopey again..he seems to be doing well he is still as handsome as ever !! He still has those huge eyes and rounded snout..he always had the most expressive eyes and his lip smacking was sooo cute..but he was so silly sometimes does anyone remember when he found big brother Bobby's privates and thought it was a nipple and tried to suckle !!! Poor Bobby..i think he was traumatized for life..and his cheetos mouth after eating nectar.. She has Berty who unfortunately has been sterilised and Dimpy of course..so she has 2 girls but yes I do agree it would be lovely for her to have another girl..I'm desperate for poor Dolly to have a girl after 8 boys shes lost her ranking..she only has Molly

I do believe Dopey will be king of his own troupe one day. Reddy has raised really good kids and Dopey is learning fast. You can see the confidence in him. Just all so beautiful, it makes you think...

Which was what Amy was doing, soothing herself, letting the world fall away to heal her heart. i think it may be due to Dimpy's gentle and nurturing disposition. She doesn't yank or overwhelm any baby or mom. Not saying Bubby wont be a great "aunt" but she's just too eager atm. Dimpy got her training wheels on with her lil brother Dipsy and she proved herself more than capable. Moms trusts her. Gaby as an example. Im sure in time Bubby will get her chance though...

It's great that you have earned their trust with the babies. without that the videos would not be as good as they are. I prefer seeing their behavior without food involved, it shows more who they are when they are just relaxing and hanging out. Thanks, as always, nice video.

Jen B I think Arroz has said that Grandee isn’t the father of any of them but that Taggy is their father. I think Dolly and Reddy have the most beautiful babies.
@@auntfancy6915 I wasn't too sure this baby season with Grandee being alpha and with Taggy's new tattoo, whether he has in fact been sterilized. Reddy has liked to dally outside the troop when it comes to bow chicka brown cow😉 Even though Taggy is a littke rough around the edges he truly is one of my favorite males. Look how much he has helped outsider from Annie's troop. ❤
Jen B you maybe right about Taggy. I guess it depends on whether he was sterilized after she got pregnant or if it took. I can’t remember who it was that was supposed to be sterilized but then they had a baby the next season. He does look different with Reddy’s eyes but still a cutie. None of us know for sure but Arroz goes by the features and it does make it interesting. I wonder how Annie’s troupe is related to Taggy. 😊
@@auntfancy6915 If I remember correctly, I think Taggy was tattooed a year or 2 ago but if I do remember correctly in a few videos over the last year Taggy has been seen grooming Starry (Stacey's 2019 girl). So it is quite possible that his gun may still be loaded 😉 As for the relations between Annie's Troop (Fornerly known as Rag Tag) I think that Taggy and Lubby are siblings or some other close relation as such. It is nuts how much love and adoration I have for these beautiful macaques!
Jen B I cannot remember when he was tattooed but I thought it wasn’t longer than last year but my memory isn’t the greatest. Lol! I agree, I finally look forward to Arroz’s videos now that I have watched all of his other ones. I love how he tells the story because it makes it interesting. Oh I understand, it is easy to get attached to them.
Reddy's family is indeed very loving, and a big reason for that is that Reddy ALLOWS it. She lets Dimply not only get near the baby, not just touch it, but actually groom him. I don't think any of the other moms allow their older children access to newborns like Reddy does. Reddy trusts her children, and they show that trust is earned. Dimpy and Dipsy didn't try to take the baby, or play rough with him or near him. Rough play nearby would irritate any mom of a newborn who is trying to keep the baby safe, and get some rest. Dimpy and Dipsy actually help the family. Dimpy grooms baby and mom, helping both relax. And Dipsy groomed big sis Dimpy, wow, I don't think yearling boys are known to groom others much. He did a good job too, he's had practice. Well done kids, well done! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
