I used to live in Shelby,NC. I miss the weather. But yeah...so glad teeny has her coat growing in and filling out and her cheeks are packed with food and not tina's fingers
Any grown female would prob do as well. Tina is lowest rank. She's lower even than the bachelor males. She just got a lesson from another member of the Troup. It walked up and took her potato out of her hand and chased her away. I've seen a couple others put her into the trees. I worry more about Trina. She seems low ranked as well but Tina is despised for the way she does her children. Trina will be also once she has babies and does them the same way if not worse. Learned behavior. But any higher rank that sees Tina set a foot where she isn't supposed to unleashes on her

This must have seemed like a Christmas feast with all the trimmings compared to the days when all she got was a few crumbs others had missed on the road. I loved hearing all the happy squeaks as she scarfed up all the scraps she could fit into her pouches. Scattering the soy beans really did the trick. Thanks, Arroz. That was just wonderful!

This little teeny has a special place in my heart, she may be a tiny little girl but she has the determination and the heart of an ape..lol..
So mom can raid it later. I wish for once she could get something with eating. Scraps that the others don't eat usually means they are hard to chew. While she is filling out she doesn't seem to be growing bigger. I guess her growth has been severely stunted by malnutrition. Thank goodness she gets food now.
Alucard 666 That is very true. I do understand that. I suspect mom steals her food out of hunger and a need to supply milk for her later. I read online a while back that they need regular fruit and vegetables as well as the wild foliage, and other wild foods they access. The fruit and vegetables are eaten by the seasons available. Sadly many of the animals we see on this channel and the Cambodian channels are horde up within man’s world and cut off from the natural foods and vegetables they would have access to if man was not controlling their living locations. (I agree with your comment.)I just meant she doesn't have the time needed to properly chew up the food a lot of times before mom takes it. And the food other animals spit out is often unchewable scraps. ( not to be confused with crumbs dropped, as crumbs are often small enough and just right for a little one to eat.)
Alucard 666 She definitely has suffered malnutrition and who knows what else. My fear is because of the acute starvation and lack of moms proper diet supplying her unhealthy (milk-water) she won't survive a long life. Being so low ranking in the hierarchy chain the bigger she and her siblings get the more food they will need to survive,not being available will be a serious survival issue. Her size as well will be an issue because she won't be able to properly protect herself from larger stronger animals. Thank you for your comment!

Tina keeps an eye on Teeny so that she can raid her pouches when Teeny gets food.Come on...Tina drank her own milk...probably another reason Teeny is so tiny. Tina needs fixed.
Yes, it's wonderful to see Teeny happy and well fed and scampering around! The plan to help Teeny and Tina has worked beautifully and both are eating more, and more regularly, to the point Tina's compulsion to take food appears diminished (YAY!). It feels great to see Teeny thrive and witness normal, healthy interactions between Tina and her. I'm glad others like you give Tina credit where it is due and have compassion for her and her very difficult circumstances (i.e., dislike her behavior but don't dislike/hate Tina herself). Some people seem obsessed with animosity towards Tina, I feel sorry for them.

That little precious girl has been starving for a long time. I need to catch up on my videos but I had to jump ahead and watch this one. I don't know what the difference is but it warms my heart to see this little girl getting bigger and making happy sounds. She deserves it! Such a miracle!
Do you think Teeny has learned to stay closer to some of the other monkeys who might run off Tina while she eats - like the monkey she was close to while eating the skins of the mangos?
What an absolute fighter this lil girl is..her chirups are like birdsong and it's so great to see her eating which she's done constantly since you gave them all those beans then extra feeders. Oh the joy of seeing this lil scrap with full pouches with the nous to either run away from her family or hide by other adults where Tina wouldn't dare venture .those full pouches and those enormous eyes of her's..oh god please let her survive.. I’ve tried to find a video about Kailey being gone but have not found any. What happened? I am just sick at this news.😔 I do remember watching a video a couple days ago where Arroz said that Bossy was watching Kailey’s new behavior and the look on her face when Arroz panned to her kinda frightened me.😱. Having watched Bossy for awhile now I wouldn’t put it past her to “eliminate” someone who she thought was upsetting the hierarchy. Geez, I just hate this!😢

Oh wow! LOL, those pouches!! I enjoyed seeing her earn some respect & keep her goodies. She squeaked so much the last mango run in, also. So happy she can't help herself. I worry about the new baby now though.. New snack pack.
She is now a grown up baby cute little adorable baby monkey now, every time I watch a throwback of how life was so hard for her to survive with monster mom this really is making me cry, thank you Arros for your great help and she made it, a real fighter indeed.
Wow Teeny has definitely grown a bit and appears a lot more energetic and robust. So clever getting all the little tasty bits off the mango skin. I wonder if she will ever catch up in size? She is such a strong determined thing.
The bigger teeny gets the more voicetress she's getting she squeaks a little bit more usually you don't hear anything but she's getting to her she squeaks more Archer for whatever you want to call it

Tina is Really a good mom, (except for...) she is always near Teeny to protect her and carry her when needed, I love at 14:22 Tina stops running and says "come on sweetie, get on the top"! 💗
I thou are right. Teeny needs the protein in the beans to grow but beans are classed as a carb because they have so many carbs. The only beans that have all of the amino acids adult humans need are soy beans and they are classed as carb,s. It takes so little to make Teeny estatic.Teeny has graduated to riding on Tina's back. Yay!
If you've ever taken in, rescued, adopted, or fostered an animal that has gone through a period of starvation then you know the behaviors they'll exhibit even when food is plentiful. They will constantly be on the search for food and will continue to eat even after they are full. I think Teeny may have some of these characteristics. It's probably why Tina raids Teeny's pouches even when her own are stuffed and why Trina and Tiny do it as well. Teeny will most likely do it to her siblings and children if she has any.
Those are insightful comments, thanks for sharing them. I'd thought about the pouch-raiding behavior in terms of being a habit that is learned and then repeated (doubt seriously that macaques have the cognitive ability to recognize when such a behavior is no longer needed, and stop), but hadn't considered it from the standpoint of a long-lasting effect of early starvation. That makes a lot of sense to me too. [*went off on a tangent here about the likelihood of Teeny to pouch-raid in the future, moved it to the end of the comment] I appreciate seeing comments that help people consider the really difficult circumstances Tina deals with, being the lowest ranked in such a huge troop and what that means in terms of how little food she'll get unless it is so plentiful there is enough for the lowest ranked. So much hatred is directed at her, misguided in my opinion because she's judged according to human expectations which are based on human cognitive abilities, and without proper consideration of her circumstances. She's so hungry, adults outrank kids, and she doesn't know about cause and effect or about a baby's nutritional needs. She doesn't know she's starving Teeny. And they can't put themselves in another's shoes like we can, she feels her hunger but can't imagine Teeny's. Nobody ever suggests what Tina is supposed to do instead...just let herself starve and then her children will not survive either? Overcome every living being's innate survival instinct and/or buck hundreds (thousands?) of years of macaque societal norms? I hate seeing food taken from Teeny to the point I can't bear to watch it happening, but I can't hate Tina at all, I feel for her. Wish more people could differentiate between hating her behavior and hating her, have compassion for her. I guess some need to see Tina as a villain to deal with the distress of witnessing something awful we can't do anything about. * Tangent: I agree that Tina, Trina, and Tiny will continue to raid pouches of younger family members, and that Teeny is also very likely to do it. It looks like we both hold the possibility that Teeny might not though. My thinking is if she can find enough food for herself when the others begin to raid, she might not develop the habit. Teeny is an industrious forager... but then again Tiny was too. However individuals do not always behave the same way and Teeny is more bold than Tiny, she mixes in with higher ranking troop members and is clever enough to have discovered her mother is fearful of males and if she hangs out near one while she has food in her pouches her mom doesn't come for her. And she's bold enough as a teensy weensy little wisp of a monkey to gauge if a fairly large male will allow her presence, and then she positions herself right up next to him. She's wary of others like the rest of her family, pays attention to the body language of those around her, but she's much gutsier than Tina and Tiny IMO. But even considering all that, I think that Teeny will most likely take food from future kids in the family. Virtually all macaque behavior is copied from watching their mom and other significant troop members, and food is so essential and central to their daily activities that I see the chance of her not stealing as pretty slim. I'd love to be wrong!
@@leslie6938 Teeny is quite intelligent and very intune with her surroundings. We've seen her need for sustenance override her adherence to troop hierarchy in numerous videos. So far it seems to be tolerated by the adults. She may have been previously scolded for her actions a month or so ago as evidenced by her injuries and temporary fearful demeanor. She still breaks hierarchy rules but not to the extent as before. Whether it be from getting reprimanded or from food being more plentiful we do not know. It is nice to see her enjoying some playtime now that she isn't expending all her energy foraging for crumbs along the roadside. Seeing her getting to keep the food she forages is even nicer. That poor baby would work so diligently just to have all she'd accumulated taken from her by Tina. What was so infuriating was watching Tina sit in waiting until Teeny had collected enough crumbs for her to have a sufficient amount to steal. Even when Tina's own pouches were stuffed she'd still raid Teeny's. You can tell by the near constant checking of Teeny's pouches for food hat Tina's behavior goes beyond just being hungry. It's an obsessive behavior either learned from her own mother or by fear of suffering through another period severe starvation. Since Teeny has had an intervention in her starvation at a very young age there is a bit of hope that she will not follow in her mother's footsteps. Only time will tell. For the next baby's sake I hope she doesn't. If not then that baby won't survive.
@@DonnaRupinski I know exactly what you're referring to regarding Teeny likely getting a reprimand a couple of months ago and being very fearful. Although I hated to see her scared I'd been concerned about how much she was flaunting the hierarchy and I was afraid she might get seriously injured if/when reprimanded, so I was glad she got a wake-up call without serious injury. Then It sounds like you adore Teeny as much as I do, they really capture our hearts, don't they? To be honest though, I'm not looking forward to Tina's new baby, knowing what it will go through. Thank goodness we have a lot of cute babies to get to know to help take our minds off the sadder things that come with following these enchanting creatures. It's been nice chatting with you! 🐒
It was so awesome to see & hear teeny eat til her belly & pouches r actually full. Being starved & not having food when ur so hungry must b horrible & its like that all the x! & poor girl gets a glimmer of hope & a lil food & her mom (& family) would take it away. Teeny follows that male around that always gets good fruit then gets little bites. She’s so damn smart and a survivor. It cracks me up how she acts like she’s sitting at dinner table with him.
Is it just me, but the male monkey which Teeny is trying to get whatever scrap she can, looks like the same male monkey who was seemingly Helping her out to protect her apple. he looks like the same male monkey I've seen Teeny close to in previous videos. seems to feel safer with him to scrounge from. He seems more tolerant, I hope so anyway.
