Magical Techniques: Part 1 - The Art of Scrying. 

I noticed that I used to gaze a lot when I was a young child. I noticed lots of kids would be "caught" so to speak, gazing and staring out into space during class. I also noticed that ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, the child or myself would be abruptly brought out of that state by the teacher. I now wonder, were we designed to do this as a part of our growth, and was it purposely stunted by the system which made it more possible to create robots out of the masses.

I know this may sound weird but I've scryed with black tea mainly on how the day may go. Quite relaxing.

Is it just me or does anyone else get annoyed with the preconceived societal standpoint of witchcraft being innately negative or evil?

Ah yes I forgot to mention black coffee and black tea would also work well :) I can't recall where I read about Alex Sanders scrying into Guinness...think it may have been "What Witches Do" by Stewart Farrar but i'm not sure.

Hey guys , can scrying be dangerous ? I really want to begin scrying , I am really nervous on a bad spirit coming through , or I react badley to a spirit coming through , also worried the spirit wont leave ? im very open minded and strong beleiver but i want some more information on the dos and donts with scrying / pendulums and their boards . any information would be great and feedback . :)

I had a experience with books as a child when I would read in school, I would get bored and gaze for a long time and its as if my vision would focus on words which at the time made no sense and some words would haze out...... My wife and I just got a obsidian sphere so I guess its time to put it to the test and dive in!

Had a dream always a certain house I lived in growing up. My entire family has always seen and heard things but are too christian to want to take it further. Any way I had never heard of scrying but in this dream I was looking into this black mirror and eventually A figure started forming and coming at me. Scared me so I awoke this was about a year ago and just recently learned about scrying. I dont know what to make of the dream other than I find myself wanting to learn more about this and related things. I have done lucid dreaming never astral but want to. Have a sleep disorder called sleep paralysis. Maybe if I could get past that..

so i know that i would go into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror to see something or my other self =, but i always ended up scared like something bad would come through. and most of the time i see myself distorted and end up more scared because i felt that that was not me and it was something i should not be looking at and that i should stop and i want to know why its been like that for most of the times i tryed scrying in the mirror?

He scryed into Guinness? Fascinating! My dark liquid of choice is a shallow bowl of coffee. Coffee is oily, so you see varieties in the texture of the surface. I also associate the smell of coffee with calm, almost meditative, moments in my day, which is a far cry from coffee as the morning pick-me-upper.

Intresting video it has some good points. What I like to do is to put my smoky quartz sphere in front of a self healed concave auralite point. I get some real interesting visions with this setup. As with John Dee's shrew stone I have read that was berl and also read that it was smoky quartz but could never find out which one. He also use an Aztec black obsidian scrying mirror. I'm in the process of trying to get one and try it out. I will let you know how it works out for me.

Scrying sounds interesting maybe i should give it a try, aparently some scry with mirrors, some with fire, and still others use water. The mirror definatly sounds like the most practical way to do it in a typical home.

It is said that you shouldn't let the mirror see the light of day, due to it being blessed by the moonlight. Otherwise you'll have to reinstate the blessing or enchantment. So it is good to keep it placed in a lightproof black cloth bag.

My name is Greg Sticker and I have been since late October of 2012 visited and I believe to be, possessed by the spirit of a young girl named Amanda Todd. Amanda took her life on October 10, 2012. do you need a scrying mirror or any object at all? couldn't you put yourself in a light trance state (through meditation or other means) and then spy on people or something like that?
