My computer monitor makes a good scrying mirror. I once saw visions of hell with imps and demons. Scared me to death then I realised I was playing Doom.

Good video, with one slight inaccuracy: the glittery scrying mirror CAN still result in dark entities coming through and taking up residence in your house. The only difference is that those dark entities will be fabulous.

put an LCD panel in there behind some dark tinted glass and a small single board computer like a raspberry pi zero or smaller so when it's off it looks black, but at random times it'll display weird ghostly images of someone walking across the frame.

in art school i made a similar black mirror, you can use them to help with drawing as they emphasise the difference between the light parts and the dark parts ( _chiaroscuro_ in fancy art terminology) . you occasionally see them in old paintings of studios and things like that.

just make some and leave them around, stick an apple logo on the back, tell people its the ipad3 or something....

I'm a few years late, but if you thin your paint, it will self level and smooth itself out. it'll also be easier to spread it out. You don't need to thin it much, just so it's more like a thin gravy than that goopy mess.

If you put your brush in a plastic bag and put it in the refrigerator between coats, the paint won't dry and you can reuse the brush for the next coat without cleaning it. This works for rollers as well. Full disclosure: I haven't tried this trick with acrylic paint, but I know it works with latex and oil-based.

With how fast LCD are getting darker and darker blacks, it would be fun to put a screen in a frame, tell someone that viewing and focusing at it for long enough will reveal ghosts, and just suddenly show a image of a ghost or similiar supernatural creature to scare the person

I have a very large version in the basement, it was quite expensive. I see all sorts of very vivid images on it, they come through quite clear. I've even heard SOUND emit from behind it! Unfortunately somebody's all the time coming on there to sell me shit so I'm quite thankful it comes with a mute function.

Clive I actually had a near identical experience with an apparition when I was like 6 or 7 years old it was walking out of my mom's bedroom into mine because It was right across the hallway. Only way to describe it is a dark shadowy figure

A standard hair drier will very quickly dry acrylic paint. Also, depending on your brush, if the acrylic dries solid, you can use acetone to clean it. If you have shitty plastic bristles, it will melt them though.

Another good, quick way is to use spray paint. Worked so well for me, just make sure to be outside away from any walls/cars, etc. And spray a few coats, evenly.

Nice project! You can smooth the glass edges with silicon carbide sandpaper (used in wet sanding) or a sharpening stone. But be advised that with no blood the mirror won't be as effective summoning the black lord.

I turned a netbook into a pretty neat wall display thing with a dollar store frame and I can confirm the glass in these is horrendously cut, probably just scored and snapped automatically with some sort of machine that leaves a horrible edge. Fun little bit of history though, I'll have to make one I have some spare latex paint from a project kicking around. That sparkly one at the end was a great cut back to your humor too

There is more to this. The black mirror it's useful mechanism occurs at the 60 degree phase angel from the observer. The material properties of the paint will work best if paint has high dielectric constant. In some way the focused attention of observe causes a field collapse and an acceleration of charge collapse to center. In this way it increases the amplitude of the observe and allows perhaps a coupling to a higher self? A planetary consciousness? Some attribute of nature that clearly is acting in accordance to some higher law. I dont know but there seems to be some connection between consciousness and gravity and process information that seems only attainable at certain unattainable levels of energy..

You know, this one would be just incredible with one of those modern LCD touch mirrors. Except it would project an actual haze or other apparitions right on the scrying mirror. The only thing to give it off would be a bunch of wires hanging off the side, but that might just be a stylish electrician-style decoration.

Pro tip; use a sanding block to put a slight bevel on the edges and corners of the glass to make it safe to handle.

For me, this microphone is perfect. As for the background. I would prefer a pale blue or green one- rather than flesh tones in front of a flesh tone backing.

3:16 Happens to everyone at some point.

I used to have sleep paralysis as a kid. It was pretty bad, you can move or yell (I'd always try, but it was like no sound could come out). Part of sleep paralysis is that you see things. Usually a shadowy black demon like man. Consequentially sleep paralysis used to be thought as possession by demons (or being visited by one). Seriously, it was horrifying. It would always walk up to me and sit next to me on my bed, menacingly. Sometimes there would be a kid too. They never spoke (sometimes they'd make noises, like they were trying to speak), but their mere presence terrified me to pieces. There are also other hallucinations too, but that's the main one shared by almost everyone. Of course I didn't understand what it was at that time, and I don't think my parents did either (Just nightmares they thought). Eventually I stumbled on sleep paralysis, and that answered a lot of questions. Also worth noting that as the name implies, you're totally paralyzed. You can look around, that's about it. Basically you're awake, but your brain doesn't realize it, and your body is still in sleep mode, along with the rest of your brain. The scary thing is, if you look into communities of people suffering from it, some say the figure eventually follows them into waking life, hiding behind people and out of sight. I no longer get it, thankfully. (Knock on wood, can't be too careful). But it's seriously weird stuff.

Pro tip: Take some 300 grit sandpaper and run gently along edges. This will round the edges and reduce the risk of cuts.

If you pop a tiny drop of dish soap to the paint, it wets it and breaks the surface tension and allows for fuller coverage on glass.
