This must've been an EXPERIENCE when this event was live a few years back.

I've played Siege since launch. BB used to have a singular 500HP shield, low recoil and fast ADS time. He was the most broken Op in Siege until the end of Year One. Honestly, he was at his best in terms of fairness when he had one 150HP shield. He'd win head-on firefights 80% of the time, but was super weak to traps. It was the start of 'Pro League dictates what we do', and has been the trend that has slowly ruined Siege. Blood Orchid was the REAL start of Siege being ruined. Operation Health was functionally the last 'great' season of Siege, because guns felt good, mechanics felt good, and there weren't any REAL metas. The eSports scene was young and didn't really care, and all the Ops were decently good. Tachanka was bad purely for the meme. I stopped taking Siege seriously in Year 3, when they started going whole-hog into the 'let's just write 8 paragraphs of backstory for each character instead of focusing on how FUN they are to play (*ahemClashahem*), and I stopped playing it after.... Sometime after broke-ass hobo Sam Fisher came out. I check in every couple seasons because there aren't any truly fun FPSs anymore (though I have high hopes for Payday 3), and I'm sure Tom Clancy is rolling in his grave over how Ubisoft has ruined Rainbow, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon. Hell, Division is turning into cheap knockoff Tarkov now, and that makes me sad.

About your minor rant at the end I absolutely agree with you especially when it comes to developers seemingly only listening to minority of players. But unfortunately that same small percentage of players also tend to be the most overly vocal.

honestly i think there system of packs is fine because you cant get duplicates. so the amount you spend to get everything actually has a cap rather then like loot boxes where if you wanted everything the cap could literally be infinite
