** I personally use these items below for filming my videos!
📷 My Main Camera (fast autofocus): amzn.to/2MwhPEA
🎥 Lens for "talking to the camera" (great bokeh): amzn.to/2MtgAWQ
💡 Powerful Light (helps video quality): amzn.to/2QOTFcw
👍 Soft Box (for that nice soft light on your face): amzn.to/2NriW99
🎙 Microphone with arm: amzn.to/33xgV3x
Extra equipment
🔵 Tripod for camera: amzn.to/2U1O8Ri
🔵 Light Stand: amzn.to/3aawnoM
This light stand is kinda not sturdy enough because the light and soft box are so large; the whole thing can tip over easily. But it's what I use! 😆 Or you can perhaps find another light stand that is rated to hold more weight. Or just put something heavy (like sandbags) onto the bottom to lower the center of gravity.

I'm pretty sure that the linking ring trick requires one normal one and a pair that was already linked. He just performs it so smooth and makes you think he links or later unlinks them when he actually doesn't. Also, the last trick completely broke my mind- but watching it back slower exposes it. Still can't believe how good everyone was though, they all did an absolutely amazing job!

I believe your correct except for a very small thing. I don’t want to give to much away… So think of miss matched or uneven ropes. Compare how you would show each rope to the linking of the first rings. Then if you think big picture if only very slight. Remember when TVs used to have picture in picture, good times. This would prob play a factor with the 3rd magically linked ring. Just like electronic music it’s all about the drop ; )

Yes, you got it right. The "magician" said that we can pause it... but he didn't say that we can reduce the play-back speed down to .25%, so I did this later. :) The loose ring actually never went through any of those permanently two joined rings.

The fork was hidden inside the spoon. When he flipped the spoon the last time, he took out the fork from the other side of the spoon and held that upright. Simultaneously he hid the spoon in his other hand. That's why he lowers the other hand in the end - because he's hiding the spoon behind his arm.

1st one: 2 rings are already attached, the third is larger and can slide over the first one and rest on the bottom one for the illusion of linking. Simple but dude did a good job with it
@Machonerd15
@Machonerd15 3 года назад
I think the fork was stuck between the spoon and his shirt. The tongs sticking into his chest, and the end nuzzled into the dip of the spoon. When he turns it, he is very careful so that the spoon part stays stationary since its holding up the fork. He pulls the fork up and hides the spoon as seen in some pen tricks in one fluid motion.

the cord tricks are basically same stuff you get when buying small wood and string puzzles where you have to release some part and put it back in the same place. Do some of them and none of it will surprise you. I used to work in the store selling them and we had some of them open for people to play. I could untangle and tangle them with a timer in my hands and possibly with my eyes closed.

The reason why there's no Gap in the rings, is because it's a slit in the rings not visible to the camera looking right at it would just enough room to pass things through.

Kind of funny. I never had linking rings and don't know how the mechanism would look like. But I think I saw exactly how he did his trick. Okay, so a couple years late to this video but I didn't see anyone else comment on it after a quick scan. The second trick, the one where the person wraps a cord around objects, then pulls it free is actually a legitimate trick I've seen done by magicians. In fact, I think I've even seen Penn and Teller do a version of it. But the version I've seen usually involves the magician taking a rope, wrapping it around someone's neck, then pulling it free in a way that makes it look like the rope moves through the person's neck to come undone. I have a magician friend who has performed this trick and he showed me how it's done. There's a special way the magician will wrap it around that makes it *look like* it's around when it's really not.

HI Jason! Thank you for not giving up! I am enjoying your videos! I do hope that the mentioning what was, and was taken eventually subsides though. I get that it was a very horrible time for you, and I am not telling you not to vent, you deserve it, but I think it might make the videos more confusing and less appealing to any new people who might come along. It also takes just a little away from the videos you are doing, saying how much better you think what you had was (or implying it). I loved that last trick, I do not think that your lack of coffee had anything to do with it. Lastly, I have an idea for something else you could do for a video. You could do a few tricks with the specific INTENT for the commenters to try to figure it out. You could give merch of some type to the first person in the comments (or the first x people) to post the correct answer. (Think of what this does for the youtube algorithm...)
@JasonParkerMagic
@JasonParkerMagic 3 года назад
Hello David! Thanks for your well-thought out feedback and suggestions. I really enjoyed reading your comment and actually re-read it a few times. a) I think you're 100% right about the Fool Us references, thanks for communicating that clearly. b) haha, thanks. c) That's a very cool idea... I thought about it a lot and decided that I should probably do some giveaway... like a deck of playing cards... but probably won't have people guess at the secret of magic tricks because then I will be encouraging people to spill magic secrets/methods all over the comments section. So instead I could do something like a simple giveaway, and all they have to do is answer some random question that I present in the video. But yes you're right, if I get a bunch of people commenting their answer to a giveaway question, I think it probably might help with the RU-vid algorithm (at least to a degree). Thanks for the idea! I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I seriously appreciated what you had to share. Hope you will continue to share your feedback in the future! :)

The one ring is bigger than the other two (which are permanently linked together). He drops the bigger one so it clears the top ring and is sitting on the bottom ring. He can then easily drop it from the bottom ring to appear as though it unlinked. Then he uses slight to show the one make it appear as though all three rings were no longer linked.

Okay if you can't figure out the principal of the disappearing spoon to fork. As you look at it towards the very end she brings his right hand down making the spoon invisible from the naked eye, because it's the angle of the camera he brings his hand down but doesn't move his hand. He has a drop bag at the end of the table where he's at. But maybe if you had your cup of coffee, you might have been able to figure that one out, and it's so simple to do.

Hey Jason, thanks again for posting this! Please keep doing them. A few suggestions for you ... (1) Could you please number your Reddit Reaction videos in the title? .... So, "Magician reacts to Reddit magic #2" ... or similar? ... This will make them easier to refer to specific videos, etc. (2) Could you please provide a "table of contents" with links to the various videos you are using in the description? This will allow us to go watch the original videos ourselves, without having to search endlessly for them. Plus, getting a link from you provides more incentive for ppl to submit content for your review. (3) Your local Ace Hardware store probably has white or yellow rope available by the foot. That would be easier to see against your black t-shirt for future rope demos. (4) I think it's fun when you try to recreate the magic tricks you see. Not always possible, obviously, if you dont have the stuff needed for the trick. But, its fun to see you try, when you can do it. Plus, it provides some good filler content, so you dont burn through all your source material (uploaded videos) so fast. Thanks again!

The three rings are never linked or unlinked. Two of them start and end linked, he simply moves them quickly between hands to pretend they start unlinked, but they actually start linked. The third ring is always unlinked, when he drops the third one, it gets 'tangled' so to speak, but doesn't link. Instead, it is sitting on top of the combined set, and the lower part is moved behind the bottom of one to give the illusion of being linked. To unlink he rotates the top of the third ring which is not actually linked, 'untangling' it so to speak as the top rotates back over the one it is sitting on top of. Then to do the final unlink, he simply uses the third unlinked one twice in a row, with the rotating flourish move to make it appear to be 'two, and three', but at no point are the linked set ever actually unlinked throughout the performance.

Great effort. I know it’s not quite fool us but it is interesting and you have a great personality. I know this won’t help with the 20 minute time limit issue but you could consider using slow motion for key points when reviewing what the magician did. I know we can do that on RU-vid but just a thought. Good luck with your new venture from the UK

at 16:50 and I get the man with the spoon, he hides the the fork behind the spoon and when he flapped up the spoon he he actually hold the fork and when he twisted his hand, he hides the spoon like when u hide a pen with his arm too, i don't think he hided the fork like when u hide the card in snap card trick cuz it's heavy to hold it straightly

So impressed with your videos and your drive to produce quality content. Even after having to pull a bunch of videos because of RU-vid's policies, your content is awesome and your personality draws viewers in. You are someone that I watch not only for the magic but also for tips on how to produce great content. 😀

I think he used a broken tip of a spoon to cover the fork. As you can tell he put his right hand to the side holding the tip of the broken spoon.

the fork was stuck behind the spoon 😉

Hey Jason, thanks for an awesome video! The knot tricks were something else! This guy with the spoon and fork... very frustrating indeed :) He must have brought the fork with his right hand. I noticed that it was facing the wrong way though: if it had remained a spoon, it should be facing the camera with the hollow side. Not sure if that means anything :)

Thank you for your great videos. I don't know if I have said this before, but you look just like my brother, and my name is Jason. :D I often find myself watching your videos when I am thinking of my brother, who lives 1000+ miles from me. :)

Okay with the two cards in a three coins, you need to pay very close attention, because there's a fourth coin maybe even a fifth one. Ask for the fork and spoon routine, when you first brings his hand down he pulls a dummy spoon off and puts it by his right side and to me that was very obvious.

Damn, I was about to finish my elaborate comment on the linking rings and just when I was about to send the comment, I saw your message:) It is a really cool trick and the rings can be safely examined which is nice. I am not sure how the cord/rope stuff counts as magic, everyone who played with more than 5 different knots is familiar with that stuff.

Okay pay close attention to the coins each coin is a hair smaller than the other, and it's a common shell game. Two coins inside of one or three and he used a drop bag to catch anything else
