This is a weird stage. Just randomly swerves to an almost completely different theme after the halfway point, doesn't really do a whole lot with its core concept, and then makes the Grey Devil worse somehow, and then didn't put a checkpoint in front of it. The reskins are weird and don't really make sense in the level's context? I mean, okay, the red in the Grey Devil is probably supposed to represent the same dripping fluids as from the pipes, but everything else just seems kind of randomly changed for the sake of being randomly changed.

If the Gred Devil's droplets don't respawn, I wonder how many can be left onscreen before the game begins to struggle. Also, rather appropriate that the level with a leak penalty has leaky pipes.

This is a legitimate concern for some boss battles! I think for this one in particular it isn't really feasible to avoid them indefinitely, so you'll end up dying before the game starts chugging, unless you do something to deliberately put yourself out of reach (like gravity flipping via cheat). But other boss battles make it viable to get the game struggling via infinite spawners...the 10-minute Stall Woman fight is an example, she can eventually get trapped in a corner just constantly placing shields, and if you let it go long enough you start to see performance degradation. And Tower of Dimentions has recurring spawners in a Gravity Man fight, and Gravity Man isn't really that hard to avoid...

Oh god i remember that music. He used it for his Revo remix as placeholder. I was really looking forward to this until people are discussing him adding never ending stuff and not the main game. And i found out he was working on a Hypnospace outlaw Earthbound clone and not Remix which was my last straw to me. 3:52 Wait.. YOU NEVER HEARD OF TINTIN?! You seriously need to look up Tintin on the moon for the C64. Plus you gotta watch the animated series, it's so good, yet there's also a movie by spielberg

Mega Man Revolution Remix, right? That's one of those fangames that I feel like has been talked about forever, but I don't really have much confidence that we'll ever actually see it. As for Tintin...I've heard of it, but my knowledge of it is so scant that I couldn't tell you anything about it. And that goes double for anything from the Commodore 64, which I didn't even know existed for the first two decades of my life.

i was just thinking about something for mega maker, certain damage tables could be different depending on the weapon and the energy cost

It would be nice to be able to adjust weaknesses and damage tables and such, but I feel like that kind of goes against Mega Maker's tendency to be low on that kind of overhead. It's almost like I'd like to see a branch that goes more advanced, but I'm sure it's enough work just maintaining the one that exists!

@@DoctorNovakaine i mean, it just seems kinda boring to have all the weaknesses do the same 4 damage, even if they consume more ammo than that (tornado blow for example, although time slow does do 8 when set as a weakness, and charged weapons do more, but still)

PUT A CHECKPOINT BEFORE YOUR DAMN BOSS. Especially if you are gonna make it a harder version of an already annoying boss. This seriously killed a lot of the score for me.

It's really just good, standard practice! I'm guessing this was one of those 'I forgot' things, but still.

Well, you see, I didn't actually intend to make the boss harder, that whole fact was a complete accident while I was porting the new sprites over LOL I thought it was cool so I kept it in. As for the no checkpoint part... Yeah that I just forgot :]

@@StarstruckFlora Honestly, it's really not significantly harder once you figure out that you don't have to worry about jumping if you just use a Charge Shot. You'll take out the globs effortlessly. I make this look harder than it is because at this point I don't really know how to fight the Grey Devil very well - by the time we get to refighting this in my Tier 2 Custom Arena it barely registers.
