Jerry Gibson, Actually I just ran across a really cheap but good formula for cleaning of metal surfaces. Take as much 5% vinegar as you think you will need then saturate it with as much salt as possible. Dunk a test tool or other object in until it gets cleaned off. Do a test with a gungy penny for 20 seconds and you will be amazed!

You can clean metal with a brush wire manual or automatic. It gets rid of all the rust and shit coating the metal

You can clean up old sockets and wrenches but vinegar or oil will not do it I would try either spray it straight with a power washer or borrow a friends parts washer
