what this video doesnt show is that when wolverine recovers hes immensely faster and stronger because hes not weighed down by the adamantium. magneto shot himself in the metaphorical foot
@@jr-yn4lkdunno if that would work, his healing factor was dampened by adamantium poisoning, but with it gone, he could likely survive decapitation just like Deadpool.
@@PeterParker-kv1rg His regeneration is so powerful it just takes a single red blood cell for him to come back to life. Its not like his skeleton really did anything for him at all.
@@archo_techWell the Adamantium make sure that he won't ended up like Deadpool, getting chop apart making him either has to go find them to put them back or have to wait a while for them to regrow.
Ripping out the admantium is actually more dangerous for Magneto since now he can't control Logan. It'd be more helpful for him if Logan has the admantium since then he could pin him down or throw him away to the other side of the world or to outer space.
This scene floored me when I read it in the comics. Ironically, they don't really show the impaling of Magneto, but Wolverine's mutilation is shown in all the gory detail, with dozens of adamantium barbs springing out all over the body, including the face. Wolverine and Magneto's preceding dialogue is also considerably longer and more epic. First Magneto reacts with disbelief at Wolverine's vicious attack: "Ah, Logan, Logan... You would do this?!" and then launches into this ominous speech: "I've always held back when fighting you... but no more!.. Our long association, my most visceral enemy, my most respected foe... is over!!!" And then - whammo.
@@MathisR412 Aside from the fact that Magneto ripped the adamantium out of Wolverine’s bones, the other reason I found that line to be messed up is because Doctor Doom makes it plain how even someone like Magneto, one of the most powerful mutants of all, is beneath him.
Amazing how someone with Logan's literal DECADES worth of combat experience wouldn't know to make the first attack, his final one when battling someone as dangerous to him as magneto.
Because they needed MAGNETO ALIVE, so is amazing how someone with Logan's literal DECADES worth of combat experience would know how to make the first attack to not kill Magneto, but injury him enough so charles could control him.
I mean Wolverine in a one to one situation with Magneto has only one resort - go extremely fast and go immediately for the kill. He gets the drop on him and then he behaves like an unbelievable moron : not only aiming center mass , but fucking talking ??? He’s begging for punishment. It’s Tuco said : when you’re going to shoot, shoot don’t talk.
Just when Wolverine thought he'd already experienced the worst pain when they put it in....getting it taken out was a LOT worse. But hey! He can make it through TSA now!
there was a comic where he was practically nothing but a skeleton from the ribs down and was somehow still healing from that, he's almost as immortal as deadpool.
Well, in general Magneto probably wouldn't have done that to Wolverine. He values Mutants and wouldn't want to maim Wolverine. Think about, he could have done that the whole time, but refused. Before it became a life and death scenario, he did not use any Mutants power against them.
"He ripped his skull out of the back of his own head and beat him to death with it!" "Wait a minute, that doesn't seem physically possible?!" "That's exactly what Jimmy kept screaming!" "This doesn't seem physically possible, heargh...blegh..."
In one of the books leading up to the issue where Magneto rips the adamantium from Wolverine, Cyclops forces Wolverine back telling him that he was the last one he wanted to be fighting him.
I believe the reason Magneto can endure the stabbing is because his ability to harness electromagnetic energy similarly to how superman can use solar energy. To enhance his physiology.
@@Mr.LaughingDucknot really magneto can literally enhance his body using his powers he did it when thanos grandfather attacked mars he ripped magnetos heart out and he was still going.
@@OmegaZeroX28 the 2 have had top tier fights in the comics although prob will never happen in the movies as mag is heavily nerfed(well almost everyone is nerfed)
Magneto hurled Apocalypse across a hall into a pillar and then after briefly matching Apocalypse’s energy, broke contact and blasted Apocalypse through a wall. Magneto is a beast!
Isn't ripping out Wolve's adamantium kinda counter productive? I mean, it's the one thing that gives magneto complete control over him, an insane, glearing weakness. Just toss him away when he gets close. Without the adamantium, he can't really stop him as easily ^^'
Can’t believe the boy scout cyclops stopped one of the most savage moves Charles has ever committed. Then Wolverine gets broken beyond belief. Before that gambit pulls a goku Vs Cell to save everyone. Thank you Marvel for bringing back X97
This scene messed with me so much. First it was actually seeing Wolverine stab Magneto in a show that he never did before and second it was showing a scene from one of the comics I have always wanted to see in some iteration. It combined my childhood and adult me together for the first time.
I think the annoying thing here is that they're clearly showing that he actually controls electromagnetic forces - as in one of the basic forces that hold pretty much every thing together. So technically it would have made more sense for Magneto to just rip Logan apart at the atomic level. You can't regenerate if a. your DNA no longer exists and b. your every cell no longer exists.
Very, actually. Without the metal, sure Logan has healing factor and bone claws, but what is that really going to do when magneto now has a decent amount of adamantium in his control. He could kill Logan easily then.
@@ValbrandrLeonhardt Out of everything that I learned willingly or against my will over the years about Wolverine one of the defining things seems to be that "killing him" is not really an option, especially when you remove the one thing that limited his healing so far.
@@NtoTheM Not at all. Whats the point of a healing factor, if you're incapable of harming your opponent? Bone claws will not help logan. At this point, he's all defense and no offense.
@@qb6570You have an unkillable monster with limitless endurance versus an old man who is going to get tired at some point. Even if Magneto has the advantage for a time with all the adamantium he took, he is old and is going to tire out and no longer be capable of fighting back. Wolverine will win in the end through pure attrition.
@thomasstewart1380 You all are overthinking this. Magneto REGULARLY claps mutants WITHOUT metal skeletons. He literally controls a fundamental force of the universe. His powers amps his physical endurance which is why he can regularly lift 10s of thousands of tons without overexerting himself. An unkillable man with BONE claws...would just be an unkillable man. He fights/subdues Rogue and the entire X-Men roster..I'm sure he'll be ok bc comics tell us so. He'll be ok. Besides if anyone remembers the comics...Logan's healing factor BARELY saved him from this attack..Jean had to use her powers to "assist" his body.
@@chrismoore1372 Nah because the iron in the blood does not have any valence electrons left, they are all conjugated with the protein hemoglobin. Therefore the iron on the blood does not react to a magnetic field.
@@demivik5812 Yes, the adamantium was preventing the bones from completely healing itself. So without it, the bones will grow back. However, now his healing factor is radically increased.
Wasn’t expecting that, thought Wolverine would let out a battle cry. Instead it sounded like a little girl screaming when someone stole her ice scream. 😂
This part of X-Men lore is stupid. First, Magneto can't liquify metal. Just for starters. Two, that won't kill Wolverine especially with his healing factor. That's just going to leave a very pissed off fully healed Wolverine with bone claws. This "don't do this, for the love of God" thing Xavier says - what Magneto did wasn't that bad. In the movie Logan, the metal is thought to be poisoning him. It's just stupid. It's a cool flex by Magneto at best, but not really much happened.
It multiple incarnations of the X-Men mythos it has been stated that the adamantium bonding process nearly killed him. When the procedure was done James’s healing factor was at 100%, and the scientist were as cautious as can be. Him being down for the cont after having the metal carelessly ripped out of him while his healing factor is compromised isn’t that far fetched of a concept.
@@legionairebhe very clearly is liquifying it. You can see it. Even if we don’t agree here, we see him do it in the days of future past movie, to the sentinels. And yes, his adamantium does poison him. His healing factor keeps it in check, but it can be overtaxed, like it is here
How exactly would Magneto be mentality strong enough to rip the metal out of Logan when Magneto had three big fookin claws ripping his heart out? It doesn't make sense.
Ironically removing his Adamantium actually made Wolverine far more powerful, because the Adamantium poisoning was keeping his healing factor constantly at 40-50% efficiency. Once the Adamantium was removed he ironically became more un-killable than he was with it.
Ripping all the adamatium from logan is the worst thing magneto could do In a fight agaist him, he would regenerate and then magneto cant control him anymore
Magneto wanted wolverine out of the way for good. Rendering him useless for what Magneto was about to do to the planet. He probably could have magnetized him on a wall but I think he knew it would be risky to keep Logan concise. Taking him out of the fight for good was the only option.
