Magnificent ABANDONED House w/ EVERYTHING STILL INSIDE, 4-5 CARS LEFT Behind, Land worth Million $ 

This house was most likely built in the late 1700s, around 1790 by a wealthy local farming family and stayed in the family until the early 1900s when the farm was auctioned off. Sadly the farm was sold again just recently for the land and now is unfortunately in the process of being demolished for new housing developments. I’m very glad to have been lucky enough to film this incredible place before it was torn down. Everything about this house was just magnificent , from the vintage sports cars sitting around the house as if waiting for there long gone owner to finally return. VINTAGE SPORTS CARS ARE FROM 15:00 on. Or the incredible antiques inside (Some of the furniture is definitely over a century old, maybe older) Hope you enjoy! This was definitely a favorite explore of mine!

The glass front cabinets are a pie safe. I'm 72 and my grandma had 1 for all my growing up years. I noticed several cast iron cookware pieces as well. All that old furniture was really beautiful at 1 time. It's a shame someone let it rot away..

we come into the world alone, we go out alone, can't take anything with you, makes one stop and think why am i working my ass off for all this stuff. kids didn't want it they wanted the latest new stuff. o well time stops for nobody. life goes on, hope the owner is walking on streets of gold or fishing the great lakes of heaven.

Seeing all that furniture just trashed like that was super painful to watch...

Loved this house, stunning. I would take the books though.This house is so interesting. These homes show that America once cared and had pride in their belongings, that it was meant to last from one generation to the next. Now it all looks the same, built with no passion and no care.

Its a shame no one restored this house to it's former glory. I would love to own an old home like this. And all those antiques! so sad.

best old house story: My friend Ron had an uncle that did demolition of old houses in Philadelphia. one day on a lunch break he spots a suitcase in a closet of a partially demo'd house. He climbs the rubble and opens the suitcase, closes it and walks off the job never to work again for the rest of his life. The next thing his family knows is he's moved to South Africa, ten years pass, he phones his brother to meet him at the airport in NYC. The brother arrives, the 1st thing they do is drive to a Cadillac dealer where the visiting brother buys his brother a new Cadillac, then they drive to Atlantic city. The visiting brother looks at the ocean for about 30 minutes then returns to NYC and back to South Africa. And as long as he lived he never told a family member what was in the suitcase. I worked construction for 10 years. We did a lot of building demos, and I could kick myself in the ass for the stuff I never took that just got tossed in the waste removal dumpster. I have at the very least a dozen stories of abandoned treasures tossed away that would make you cry. I know they make me do. If your not taking anything at least metal detect the grounds.

Also it is very nice to not have expletive words all thru the narrative. So many channels don't give a hoot as to whether they are being offensive. Thanks for keeping it clean and interesting.

Love the old table! I collect antiques so sad to see most of them rotting! Those crystal knobs on the dresser are from the late 1800 early 1920 I have them on an old 1920 dental cabinet! I wish this generation would appreciate the craftsmanship that went into these old furnitures! Your videos are awesome, thanks for sharing!

Another well done video-thanks for posting it. Would you mind a suggestion regarding your health on these explores? Please consider spending around $25 at Tractor Supply for a decent filtration mask-you have no idea what you’re breathing in in these old places-aerosolized bird feces, disintegrated insects, molds, bacteria, dust. The house may smell *fine*, maybe a little rank, but this stuff is floating around. It gets into your lungs and sets up small infections, rarely bad enough to require a trip to the doc, but bad enough that insidious damage is done to your lungs over years, even decades, and once your lungs are scarred, they stay scarred and your breathing is permanently impaired. Dealing with COPD is not a fun way to spend your, um, mature years, especially if it could have been easily prevented. You may feel young and strong and invincible now but you won’t always, and you need to safeguard your health now for your later life. Please consider a mask. You go into so many old places that your risk of exposure is pretty high. It’s your life, however-I’m off the soapbox now. Thank you again for some wonderful videos.

This is my favorite house I've ever seen. Thank you Kappy for being such a respectful explorer. Looking at homes like this is a dream come true for me and you're the only one I've found that seems to actually appreciate and respect what you're seeing. This house is amazing and I'm so hurt to know it's going to be torn down, but that's how it goes right :(

I really enjoyed this video. There was no loud, obnoxious music, so the solitude of the house could be experienced by viewers. The videographer didn’t babble incessantly or use foul language. We got to hear his thoughts occasionally, which is nice. I’m impressed.

That stove is a Home Comfort wood-burning stove made by the Wrought Iron Range Company in St. Louis. About 1937.....weighs almost 600lbs.

Actually this house is a 'gold mine'.....these are serious antiques that are worth a fortune!....I was raised around antiques & watched my older members of the family collect them!....what a waste!.....I mean serious dough in this old house...

Great explore! In my head I was screaming, save all that furniture!! I had two favorites, small table downstairs, and the huge armoire. Would have liked to see inside that chest, but I'm just nosy. 😎👍

Words cant describe how badly i want to save this place and the contents... im sure there is 6 figures worth of antique furniture alone that the demo company is just going to destroy because it has some bird poop on it. Such a shame that so much history is going to end up in a landfill.

The pump organ you showed was from early 1900s. They use to have these in homes and churches back then.

Hi Kappy, Just getting to watch this now in 2021, my favorite explore ever (so far) this place contains so many beautiful items, an antique dealer could live for a year on just the contents in this place alone. I realize it's probably demolished by now and it's heartbreaking to think of a lifetime collection like that being wasted. Hopefully someone had the sense to clear out the contents before demolishing it. Keep up the wonderful work and THANKS for this glimpse into a very special place.

Omg Kappy, that house is incredible! I can't believe that old furniture and stuff has been left to rot. The mantels with the old pictures in them are gorgeous. I would love to have the old blue pitcher and matching glasses. Yes, there is a fortune of stuff in there. Amazing that there was another piano in the old camper! or ice cream truck that plays live tunes? LOL. Imagine many decades ago, the farm wife planted those daffodils by the well, and they are still blooming. I wish i could go dig them up and rescue them. The abandoned books too. That hurts my heart.

Hi Kappy, I'm betting when that first piano was made, the white keys were made out of ivory! How sad that its been left there to rot, it belongs in a museum. The other pianos are equally beautiful, people seem to not take pianos with them when they move, much less 4 of them! Do you know if this house was being razed, or dismantled? If it was razed it's a crying shame, if it was being dismantled, there's hope that some of the irreplaceable furniture could be seen, and saved. This property could possibly have a family cemetery somewhere on it, although the stones may be long gone. Kappy, your videos just keep getting better, and better!

Hi Kappy. I am a new subscriber under quarantine. I’ve always been fascinated with checking out abandon vintage homes with my now fiancé. You just inspired me to do some RU-vid videos when he gets back from deployment. And about the first piano... that’s from the late 1700s and early 1800s (restored over the years not by much). My grandparents actually owned one and no one was allowed to touch it besides them. The only time it was heard was during the holidays when the family would get together and sing and dance and play their favorite instruments. Piano is now in Germany with my aunt. Great video and a gem of a home. Thank you for sharing 😊

I saw a couple of depression iris vases. These are worth about $100 each. Blue delf plates worth about $30 each. What a shame.

This place was amazing. Looks like they used it as storage for many years. A piano in almost every room so when the mood hit them to play music they didn't have to walk far. No bathroom so I'm assuming no plumbing in house. I love your enthusiasm and how you seem genuinely surprised at the things you find. Could you show the ceilings though so we can see the light fixtures? The demolition crew usually has salvage rights so hopefully they will clear it out before knocking it down. Great job.

Hi Kappy, This place was is awesome and I have to say one of the best finds in a long time. The woodwork on that organ is fantastic and the kitchen table is cool as can be! Furniture is all great! The ford Mavrick is ok but the Plymouth Barracuda is really cool to see and an awesome classic worth some good bucks. Great job man I love this place!!!

There were some lovely armoires in there. I hope some of the antiques were salvaged before demolition. One of the pianos was an old player piano. Thanks for documenting these homes and preserving their history. I really enjoy your videos.

This place was the best that i have seen. With all the beauty around it and all the things left behind it is just amazing. you are great how you do this. this was a awesome find you should be proud of yourself. great peice of history.

Rich people lived there at one time, the furniture is a carved mahogany and really beautiful stuff. Some of those pieces would be worth thousands of dollars unrestored. Awesome place and every room had a piano, definitely well off people lived there.

Wow! Where do you find these great places?! By the look of everything it looks like no one has lived there in about 40 years. Really sad so much was left behind, hopefully someone can get the furniture/cars moved before they tear it down.

When I watch these videos it always gets me thinking about the people who lived there at one time. We don't know what happened to them but back in the day someone called it home. It was probably warm and inviting. And someone loved it. Now its messy and destroyed. It's sad to see it. It may have been their pride and joy. Thank you for being so respectful.

The antique furniture in this house is awesome..How could anyone just leave it,,,,,

This is a pump organ, The pedals (there are supposed to be two) and as you pedaled the feet pedals bellows would push air through pipes and as you played the keys music would come out. As a young girl about 5 or 6 a neighbor of our had one and it was very old then (I was born in 1952). It could still play but not well. I'd say that organ was from the early to mid 1880s, perhaps a little younger, but it is too far gone to be repaired. The furniture and glassware is WOW! That table in the dining room is truly remarkable. I would work so hard to restore it to its original splendor. I loved how the legs of it curled around. Honestly, a very interesting house indeed! That piano just up against that fire place was an old pier piano where you put the rolls of paper in and crank it up and it would play songs for you. There were perforations in the paper that indicated when the keys needed to be o=played. My grandfather had one. You could also play it yourself as well. However, putting piano against any heat or cold producing wall or unit would make it go out of tune so fast. Therefore, you would never want to put a piano beside a fireplace nor a wall that was against a wall that was against the exterior of the outside. Sometimes you haven't got a choice but it will just have to be tuned more often. That one was terribly out of tune!

The first one was an old pump organ. This place has some incredible antiques. Hope they were saved. You do a nice job.

Wow! How did they manage to pack all that----junk----into this place? Two-thirds of the way through it suddenly hit me that I hadn't seen any sign of electrical outlets, lamps, light switches, or fixtures. I did see the base of an oil lamp mixed in with all those dishes an things, shortly after he entered, and later I saw a whole lot of them on a table in one of the rooms, so I wonder if this place had never been wired. Also, now that I think about it: no bathroom! Shades of our 1950s northwoods cabin... Kappy, you've done it again!

Very nice find. Lots of money just sitting there in furniture. That first piano you seen is actually a pump organ. Could be from late 1800's or early 1900's. The rest look like player pianos. That Barracuda is worth some big money. The Datsuns are still around, known as Nissan. Enjoyed the video.

OMG!! This place is amazing between all the old cars and the Plymouth Barracuda about 1967-1969 I have a 1967 red Plymouth Barracuda formula s nice car!! The house is amazing with the gorgeous paino omg the furniture is quite a great find Luv the video kappy!! Great find as always !!

They sure had every thing. Often old American homes have beautiful staircases and pianos left to rot. But I have never seen so many pianos as this place. They seem to progress from the oldest to newest, absolute antiques. This family must have had some disposable income. Of course you pointed out the wind powered water pump. Soo cool.

I saw a Shawnee Pig Cookie Jar on one of the dressers. I have one just like it. I inherited it from my grandmother. It's about 75 years old

At around 1:25 there is an orb..not dust, but an Orb..very cool, historical place, sad its being torn down for Modern society.

They're organs, not pianos. The pedals on the bottom were used to pump bellows for air to make them play. The second one is a player type, you pumped the bellows and the paper rolls ran from one spool to the other and the holes would activate the different pipes to make music

Why aren’t they sold in auction instead of being left to rot. It’s our history disappearing in front of our eyes. Other than that I love seeing these places. It’s always been a dream of mine to go through old houses. You & others have made this possible😁. However, I like your videos & commentary the most. Wonderful Video It's a shame these items such as the furniture couldn't be restored. This house it's a shame couldn't be fixed up and restored as a historical home for tourist. Everything in this house is worth Lots of money. It's a shame this historical home is going to be demolished.

Someone probably pointed this out already but, just in case not, the first ornate keyboard instrument which you called a piano, was actually an old pump organ. My mother, who died in 2001 at the age of 90, had one very much like it. I have really been enjoying your videos; they are my new guilty pleasure. Thanks for your efforts.

That Home Comfort wood stove is probably not older than the early 1900s. That box of assorted glassware is worth some money! I can see two pieces that are noteworthy and make my mouth water. Makes my fingers get all itchy. Good thing you're filming and not me, Kappy! The best I can tell from Good Old Google, that pump organ is from 1870 to 1890. Comparables are selling for twelve to fourteen hundred dollars at auction. Saw its twin on an auction house site out of Los Angeles. Of course, it was in a LOT better shape. Just so you know, the pedals have to be pumped to let air fill the bellows. Then you can get music. That last piano was a player piano. The windmill turned the pump that brought water up from the well and sent it to the house or wherever it was needed. Oh, I had to stop taking screenshots of everything, but I believe, and I'm a pretty fair judge of antiques, that there are about one hundred thousand dollars worth of furniture, glassware, pottery, quilts and ephemera in this house. My only hope is that someone cleared this little lady of her valuables before she was murdered in the name of progress. I know I will dream of her tonight and shed a tear for her, who could have been and should have been saved from the hammer of progress. Farewell, beautiful lady, we will long remember you.

WOW. There sure was a lot of dust flying around. The amount of pianos makes me wonder if they either fixed or played pianos for living. What a treasure trove of furniture and antique everything!
