Abandoned $2,000,000 Vampire Mansion 

The intricate details in every room is absolutely amazing. Someone put a lot of time to build their dream home… years ago. Although it’s extravagant and lovely to watch, I became very sad for the person or people that once called this their home and now it’s a dead capsule of old times forgotten of someone’s once vibrant life and dreams.

The room you called a “ballroom” is called a Sun Porch. It’s a respite spot for reading, napping, relaxing in daytime hours. Think plants, chaises, large glass table… the perfect place for tea and scones!

The small area off the kitchen with the smaller fridge and wine cooler is called a "Butler's Pantry", this home features "tray ceilings",and the brick structure on the patio is located off the Butler's Pantry is a brick oven. Used mostly for baking old world style artisan breads.

That place looks pretty awesome. I wouldn't mind living there!

Can't have been 'abandoned' for very long - it's in great shape. Plus the electricity is ON, someone is paying the bills and there's still a lot of stuff there. Guessing someone has bought it and is prep'ing for renovation. Even saw several tools around like someone is already working on it. I wouldn't call it abandoned, more like trespassing.

While this may not be the biggest mansion it was designed to utilize every inch of space. The floorplan, in my opinion is what sets it apart and makes it more liveable than most mansions. I could really enjoy this place because it has so much to offer a person.

The ceilings you ask about the style of at about 3:30 in the video are "Coffered Ceilings".

Whomever designed this house had a very active imagination. Someone who loved old southern french architecture. It's very dark and eclectic in nature with tons of old world charm. It's truly magnificent, a real treasure. It's a real shame that no one has put love and life back into it.

It's eccentric for sure. I don't think I'd want to live in it though because it's too chopped up the way that it's laid out. I'd probably forget how to get from room to room. It's too bad you couldn't get into that oriental looking building that you showed through the window, I bet that's pretty cool in there. Yeah this ia a gorgeous home. I love the red and black together and I also adore pink. The extra unique dealing in this home I love seeing because a lot of mansions just don't seem to have such unique extras and if I had the money I would add so many unusual detailings. I really loved this mansion.

I'll bet that there is SO Many secret passageways and rooms. This place is SSSOOO Cool it would be so fun to live there.

The colors and design is reminiscent of the Palace of knossos on Crete as well as French themes. Owner was definitely an artist.

I loved that place at first, then I started to get a creepy feeling about it

Nice location from first appearance, but for what it is, it is really 'chopped up' and a poor use of space. I looked at a 4-story home with similar floor space, had 5-brs and 7-baths with 4-car garage, and seemed to have twice the room. A lot of room in the bedrooms, though...but leaves you with a lot of open courtyards and little else. I mean, where's the bar, the ballroom, the great room, the sitting room...and what gives with no entryway or waiting space? Compared to several others I've viewed lately, this is actually NOT a great deal...unless 'location' is attractive to the buyer. Oh, and that ceiling, it's a 'coffin ceiling' (aka 'coffered ceiling'), and is usually found at in rooms which have full wainscotting on the walls...which would really set this room off, far better, if they had added that feature. All the black mold tells me that it is either POORLY insulated, over-insulated, or the AC is not balanced to the distributed room size. BAD NEWS in the next 20-years, for sure! (not to mention the $50,000 bill for a real cleaning company to come in, de-mold and clean EVERYTHING)...along with needing a full-time groundskeeper due to it being the south, and all the broadleaf deciduous trees burying the place in rotting leaves all the time (hence, why most castles are found in areas with mostly evergreens...so the rot doesn't lead to earwigs and black mold).

Is that a secret door in the library on the same side as the latter? If looking to the right side of the latter in the corner. I can clearly see a long handle or am I seeing things? The bottom and the top are different than all the way down the left of the latter.

What a Huge house wonder what it would feel like to have that much money to be able to build such a beauty.
