The detail is insane to the point where it looks like I’m looking straight at the CGI model. The fact he transforms too is absolutely insane. He looks so much like one of those models rather than an actual transformable figure.
@@PrimeVsPrime All Transformers toys should be made this way. I loved the 2007 and 2009 ones, but they all went south after those in my opinion, until I saw this beauty. Puts Hasbro and Takara TO SHAME!
I cannot believe something of this scale in terms of detail and design can transform. What an absolute feat of engineering I’m absolutely blown away. This guy is everything any Transformers fan could ever want in figure form. Great review man.
Definitely figure of the year for me. The definitive BB optimus as well. It took everything great about the threezero optimus and shoved a truck inside of it. Toyworld’s version has inaccurate proportions and it is riddled with problems. The hasbro version is decent for the price. Most of the other BB optimus are upscaled and retuned versions of the studio series one.
I feel like I went down a serious rabbit hole to find the perfect Optimus. Hours on hours on hours of searching.. just to find it cost at least 300. The ails of a transformer collector!
Haha oh wow. I did NOT expect to see the classic MP-10 transformation steps with folding the front wheels out of the sides of the waist. That's actually pretty neat and just goes to show what a smart idea that engineering was when we are seeing 3p companies copying the idea to this day. I'm actually genuinely impressed it even works for a movie design.
Thanks for the review! This guy (unlike the MP-44) seems like it is actually worth the $250 they are asking for it. If I ever get an extra $250 someday this would be a worthwhile figure to pick up! Very cool.
Hey pvp, I got mine a few days ago and I love it. Mine had the same issue as yours with the led; I just put a bit of super glue at the end of the grey bit that's supposed to hit the button just to add some material and lengthen it. It seems like it's too short for some reason, but that fix has worked great for me.
If I had to get one premium looking Prime figure, this would be the one. I can't get over the paint on this one and the sculpted detail. The shoulder articulation is the one big bummer the way it was engineered, but everything else about it down to it being able to transform and not compromise either bot or alt mode is just mindblowing. I'm super tempted to order it to go along with the Megatank Monocrat I have coming my way.
I have this figure as well as Wei Jiang M09 Fire Scorpion. To me, this seems like a v2 of Fire Scorpion. There are a lot of similarities between the two. We all know Fire Scorpion was rushed out the door because Wei Jiang was being shut down. So I think they had to cut a lot of corners to get it out. I'm guessing that, if Wei Jiang had more time, this may have been more what they were intending. That being said, someone should do a comparison video between M09 and MM01.
that robot mode is perfection. That truck mode isn't, although it's pretty good. I know it's more about the fact it transforms and less about the truck being really accurate, and that his designs and transformations are a little confuse in that movie, but i'm sure it could have been a little bit more accurate, especially on the front part. The specific truck they used in the movie is absurdly hard to translate into this design, and it doesn't exactly match the robot design, so i wouldn't mind some optional partsforming to get that proper look, even tho i would never display this guy in truck mode. The swappable pieces could go on/turn into the trailer, if they decided to make one. In the g1 cartoon i used to think the trailer was also integrated into the robot mode. This guy could also easily be retooled into the official cybertronian mode, whenever we get one, and that would definitely be 100% accurate. I'm also sure they will be able to make a much more accurate truck with RotB Optimus, since the truck details do match the robot design, and the truck is shorter and a little bulkier on the back.
I do like this Optimus prime but to me the way he looks super big I think he's high on price big price big money and I don't think I have it but I still like it maybe later in the future I might be able to find it and buy it have fun

I know you like the Bayverse stuff but but the Knightverse stuff is just so amazing. Its so well done. This Optimus design will be around for a long time just like Batman 89 and 66. The design is an instant classic.
This guy is amazing! finally got mine and wow just insane how they got this thing to transform while looking like the ThreeZero. My toy world is back in the box and in cold storage after this one. 😂 And next to my MegaTank? Don’t even get me started! Those 2 are a definite 10/10 for me. We’re livin in the golden age of 3rd party transformers y’all!

Going to be getting this. And although I am extremely satisfied with G Creations M Wrath, I would love to see Magnificent Mecha's take on AOE Grimlock.
I’d say this actually looks better proportioned than the ThreeZero figure. Perhaps ThreeZero has dimensions directly from CAD files, but I think this one looks better. I pre-ordered it, uncertain if I’d want to pay the full price, but I suspect that once I was holding it, I’d be really excited 😜

I built a 3 foot tall Lego model of this Optimus Prime back in 2019. Took a little over a month, and numerous orders from Bricklink to accomplish, but it is my most prized build to date.
Astounding! It looks like the CGI model come to life as a...resin STATUE? Wait...it's fully POSEABLE? FAR OUT! And why are they showing the cab mode every now and then? Don't tell me it also TRANSFORMS? UNBELIEVABLE!
All the exposed wiring and motors and things in robot mode, they should be covered up. It’s like if a man was walking around and you could see his skeleton through missing flesh.

I love these robot models from the Bumblebee movie. They look recognisably G1 but modern and updated enough for live action. This is what the Bayformers should have looked like from the beginning, instead of the weird 'jumble of pointy metal' look they wound up as. This Prime looks solid as a rock, not the gangly, all-legs and big toes from 2007.
Great looking figure! Hopefully we can start moving on to making figures of other characters and designs though. After the 40th bumblebee movie prime release, I think it would be great if we can also see some more characters from the original three Bay movies!
The 1st TF (Bay) movie came out in like 2007, that's a little over a decade of "Bayverse" Transformers, a few of which I actually like, like Ironhide and Blackout, but I'd like to see more ROTB or BB figures. I do agree with you that OP has been done to death and we need more variety, but let's be real, good ol' Prime sells lol.
Nice, For me it is important since the 90ies that Transformers Toys can transform but some figures where so complex it wasn’t fun it was pain in the ass.
Yesterday I got my MM01 2.0 and it is truly magnificent. The shoulders and elbows are improved and it is a perfect figure in my opinion. Yes it is expensive but in my eyes it is worth it’s money
I have this pre ordered since the initial release and Holy Macaroni, this MM01 is the Go-to option if you want a BB movie Optimus prime, he's the best from the ko universe.
