Bloody hell! I haven't actually seen him play much beyond the internationals he participated in. Definitely a future 6 or 8 if he finesses his abilities in the right mould. Compared to our other Scottish back rows, he's definitely got the pace licked on all of them. Athletic as hell for a big guy. Isn't he leading the league for number of tackles broken or some such stat like that? I remember someone mentioning that somewhere.

Exciting times to be a Scotland fan with the amount of young talent coming through. Could see this side lining up by the world cup; 1) Dell 2) McInally 3) Nel 4) J.Gray 5) Gilchrist (possibly Richie Gray if he can get back to full fitness) 6) Barclay 7) Watson 8) Bradbury 9) Laidlaw 10) Russell 11) Kinghorn 12) Duncan Taylor/Scott/Dunbar 13) Huw Jones 14) Maitland 15) Hogg 16) Brown 17) Allan 18) Fagerson 19) Toolis 20) Wilson 21) G.Horne 22) Hastings 23) D.Graham

I like your insights in terms of current abilities and areas to work on. I think his body position looks good meeting contact, allowing him to generally speaking win the contact and cross the gain line. In those terms he reminds me a bit of Johnnie Beattie when he and the "Killer-B's" were playing for Glasgow and Scotland with his running. Always feel if Beattie hadn't had that shoulder injury (and fallen out of favour at Glasgow) in summer 2010, then he could have been really special. Although I do hope Bradbury has a quiet game on Boxing Day ;) looking forward to the Price video!

Totally agree with the comparison to young Junior B. You've obviously not completed the sentence but I'll venture my take - if he'd buckled down and worked on his all round game the guy had the making of a Scottish Sergio Parisse as his handling and contact skills were top class for an 8. Shame really.

As an Englishman, I'm excited to see what he can do. Do you think his future is at 6 or 8?

Rafeeeeeeeeeeey Hard to say. At club level he plays both. I would say at international level his future is at 6 if he can improve his ruck clearout which is quite poor right now. He's fine if both locks are happy to ruck a lot, but would come unstuck without that. On the otherhand if he plays at 8 he definitely needs to improve his ball handling and link play, although both are improving. The answer is basically that it depends which skills he improves on. Right now 6 is better because Edinburgh already have 2 out and out 8s, Cornell du Preez and Nasi Manu. In the future it could go either way. He's certainly a more well-rounded player than Denton for instance who has poor handling skills and gets isolated too much. There's no doubt that Magnus is a genetic freak though. He still has 2-3 years of physical development ahead of him which is frightening!!!

I am an Edinburgh fan and I say he creates better opportunities as an 8 because in scrums ball comes to him he picks it up and runs but could also be a good 6

I don't think he's done enough in a Glasgow shirt yet. I reckon in a year he would have pushed on though and I will do a video then. Ali Price is next.
