can i ask a question? I know sagar sir is a massive chess fan/geek and understands the game very well. I also realize that there are set patterns in chess just like any other sport. So he is able to commentate and even tell what the "best/great/good" move it would be. I am not doubting his skills as a player, nor am i saying that GMs always take the obvious route but how is he able to find the best moves, that GMs end up blundering? Like I know that there are set patterns in badminton, as in "if X returns the shot here, it is text book to put it at Y on opponents court" and usually if both players have same skill level, it usually comes down to athletic ability and little delays in judgement. But i assume chess is different, not saying chess is not mentally taxing but it does make me think how is it that commentators know the best move but the GMs dont? Is it the pressure? time ? external factors ? hoping to follow a pattern but the opponent's move clashes with it and then all calculations going haywire? i mean the commentators are usually at a better position to spectate and can have a much clearer head i suppose? Sorry i dont mean it as any offence, i have only played chess with my dad and grand dad when i was a kid. I have only recently started following legit chess events and tournaments so I am not aware of much of what goes on.

He is sitting in from of a computer and AI generated chess engine will show the live analysis of the current game, all the wrong moves, best move for the next, etc etc..... So he is guided by the system & he just reads through whatever analysis provided by the engine

1st Commentator is IM (International Master ) He is as good as GM but slightly he will not able to think deeply as a GM thinks. 2nd He use chess engine and Online Database, to know the next best move 3rd He analyis Chess with no pressure. Analyzing others chess game is easy, compare to playing himself. 4th Playing is One set of skills, while Teaching chess to another, is other set of skills. A IM teacher might produce a Great Chess Player. Because he knows what mistake not to make. While a Great chess player, always have a research team and a Good Teacher. Thats how chess works. If you ask more experiance player, You will get know many more things
