Other companies have done that exactly but I’m sure Magpul making that happen for the ACR stock and the Zhukov even would be a game changer if the numbers made sense
Idk why you'd want it on a modern carbine, after getting one I realized how dated it was. The tilting cheek rest is a hilariously bad choice for a consistent sight picture + the buttpad shape isn't conducive to putting a rifle in your shoulder pocket.
I'd like to see Magpul produce some like Bravo Company's, for better forward "c" grip. I'm not putting "screwed in," hard to work on metal handguards with no heat shields on my carbine. Something like my current MOE M-Loks, only more narrow
@@bghiggy For the longest time I hated them for that exact reason. I recently bought one of those basic PSA's with the Magpul furniture in OD on sale. It's become one of my favorite rifles. I put on a Bushnell TRS-26 red dot, extended latch, and a streamlight HLX on a long scout mount to put it past the A2 front sight. No tape switch or wires just the tailcap on the left side to activate with my thumb. No spray paint job. Simple, beautiful, and lightweight.
The DT-PR was what I was expecting when I saw the DT originally, a lot of people were it seems. Damn I love Magpul because they listen to their customers.
@@anthonymcgoron8045 Nah, they fucked up and made a subpar product when they already had the DT technology. I would bet that every single person who bought the MOE PR only bought it because the DT PR didn't exist.
I wonder when Magpul will get into the free-floating hand guard market. I always think of that when I watch these videos that talk about their grips, qd mounts or rail systems that are paired with other companies hand guards.
If y'all are down to strap an elastic band to the side, my braced pistol could use a lighter upgrade from the SBA3 which often collapses in the middle where the rubber pieces meet.
I like that the sling point is a mlok slot to be versatile for either static or dynamic attachment. I appreciate the mlok on the bottom for a bag rider or monopod. I think the combination of a tension and adjustment system is a very nice benefit to have only one button to press. These seem like improvements. Im not a fan of the design of the thin piece of plastic at the front of the new moe type stock as it seems like a possible snag point.
I just wish you'd add some sort of memory option to your stocks so every time I extend it, it locks into the set position. Also, an adjustable cheek riser option would be great too!😁
So you telling me, and the rest of us, that you're gonna come out with the version of the MOE PR stock that you should have come out with from the get-go?
@@joesashiify the MOE PR stock that first came out does not have any way of tensioning to you buffer tube like a CTR stock does. It wobbles like crazy.
I like that stock! I run the MFT minimalist with some custom mods (QD sling swivel added) on my go-to SHTF rifle because its lightweight, gets the job done and offers a good hand hold for hiking and maneuvering through urban congestion and forests and undergrowth. This new Magpul looks to have a large enough opening for a good hand hold and has some snag free geometry, something the MFT definitely doesnt have. Gonna have to check it out.
Can you guys do a spec list of your stocks with length, weight and filters for storage or without, with QD or without as a filter or some kind of comparison tool on the site? I had to compare images of each on a Internet search, you guys have all these stocks on hand, it might be easier for ya.
I'd love to see a stock designed to be used with a plate carrier. This stock would naturally push the rifle higher into the shooter's natural plane of vision with minimal head-duck. It would be ergonomically functional in keeping the rifle centered on the pocket of the shoulder with minimal outward push when used with plate carrier pad or straps. I envision a modular angled edge on the rear of the stock that can be reversed based on shooter preference. Most stocks are made perfectly straight, yet the human body is contoured. Think race car seat... Additionally, AR-15 style rifles are less accommodating for people with longer necks, so perhaps an adjustable stock or the same stock in various sizes would be a good feature.
Have you looked into the Sling Mount Kit Type 1 & Sling Mount Kit Type 2? I can’t tell if they’re anti-rotation, but it might be somewhere to start. I hope this info is helpful to address the issue you’re having with your stock, good luck!
@@mattwhite7421 Damn. I’m not at my house today but when I get home I can take a CTR and one of the kits and 100% confirm/deny compatibility for you. Bump this comment if I haven’t gotten back to you in 48 hours.
Not unless you swap out the buffer tube with a carbine one. You'd need a new carbine spring and buffer as well. After those are installed, just slide a stock on, and you're done.
Probably my 15th time of asking, please release furniture in MCT. The color is amazing and I prefer it over FDE. Don’t get rid of FDE, just add options in MCT for your furniture. Damn near every rifle I own would be dripping in magpul.
Hello Magpul, how does the patent relate to Daniel Defense Grip Stock Front GRIP pro 700 patent infringement if a patent exists. I would like to know what the outcome is. MFG Christian Deutschmann
