Its folding right because folding left will causes you to have major logistical issues when you deploy the stock in a hurry, While the rifle is on a sling in full kit. The left fold would also cause issues with any side mount unless you would like your check weld to be contoured to the mount not your cheek? Ak is made to fold to the right. They made it correct.
They took an 1/8" Allen/hex key in my kit.. It's American made so they must use standard hardware.. I'm a tall guy with Hickok45 disease. Need help on my length-of-pull with most weapons... Great kit!!!
I have 2 extra parts that was not mentioned in the instructions. An odd shaped black piece and a spring. Any idea what they are for? The hex key mentioned is 1/8.
The charging handle hits the stock you can't charge the rifle and it wouldn't cycle properly if you fired it folded.you can't really operate the safety with the stock folded either.
Did you have any fitment issues with the dust cover? I installed mine on my WASR 10 and the screw that bolts the stock from the top to the stock (requires the flat workers nut) scratched my folding stock. no biggie, but I can't get the dust cover to fit on properly. I think I'm going to have to file the hole where the button goes through the dust cover.
pikapp168 my dust cover was always tricky to pop on it wasn't any worse after I put stock on.i have to line up the hole on the dust cover then wack it to pop it into place it sometimes takes a couple tries but it does go on.but the stock didn't make it any harder to do.
Exocartonic I think I'm gonna have to file the bottom part of the opening down to get it to pop through. it seems like the spring goes back a tiny bit further than the original wood stock.
pikapp168 that shouldn't be the case the stock mounts at the end of the receiver. there is a notch in the receiver that the cover pops into the stock should not even come in contact with the stock.i would send a pic if I could.
MaryJuanUh Question? were u able to put it on without filing or cutting anything, Like the gas block sling loop or vanguard retainer. I want to buy a regular c39v2, and then buy the zhukov furniture separate, just to have 2 options.
