"MAHA GANAPATHIM" Classical Fusion song At the "World Fusion Concert" Held On 23rd September 2015 In APS College Grounds, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru At 53rd Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava
I'm leaving this comment here so after a month or a year when someone likes it, i get reminded of this masterpiece 🙏🏻❤️ Happy New Year 2023... January 1st. The energy flows from their hands to our ears 👏👏
Just freaking amazing. I've never heard a mandolin sound like that. The chick on the 5 string bass.....man. She is getting NASTY on that thing! That turns into some serious FUNK! If they came to Texas, I'd be all over their concert! I can hear where the Doors got some of their sound from. Especially the track "The End". Sometimes youtube makes a good choice. This was AMAZING!
Wow! Indian Fusion is great! So many dimensions to its complexity. Bengaluru Ganesh Utsava does it right! Each individual has extremely high individual technique, yet they always work together.
10:34 to 13:50 That was an exceptional performance by Mohini Dey.. an Indian bassist who needs no introduction to begin with. She absolutely slapped it!
This group is phenomenal, Each musician is amazing. As a bass player myself, I find this bass playing woman beyond words. The percussionists are completely amazing. The other string musicians are fantastic. I can only say wow, I am overwhelmed.
I felt that mrs mohini deys performamce in this was far below than standard of all others in team. I skipped her part. I don't know whether it's because i am unable to understand the instrument. 🤔🤔🙏
Mandolin Rajesh still kickin’ it. His brother U. Srinivas passed in 2014 from complications after a liver transplant. He was the mandolin player with Remember Shakti
Balabhaskar will always be missed by the true followers of his talent.... though ‘ll remain in our hearts forever.. Mohini is a bass phenomenon ... brilliant .... Drumeo and the Ghatam player and Mandolin.. all are exceptional....
Haven't seen a single ad, for 7 years now, because I use the Brave browser. It's just like Google Chrome because it is built on Chromium. But it kills all the ads.
I love music....when I'm listening to this type of music then my brain works higher level at the workplace and at the same time able perform well in my educational ....many thanks team
I have listened this Jugalbandi many times. I say this 20 minutes of mesmerizing music. If I started it, my wife knows that, now I will be hypnotized by the magic of these 5 magicians, for the next 20 minutes. But I say them Gods. Gods of music have come down to earth, for a 20 minute concert, and now I will be so involved, that even if Yamraj comes at that time, I will ask him to stay for the next 20 minutes.🙏🙏🙏
Hey, Mother India! Remember that you have a loving sister living in the North. Her name is Mother Russia, and she will always be on your side, whatever happens. Respect, love, and best wishes from sunny Moscow!
I have been into Fusion for almost 50 years and it will take me another ten views to fully absorb the absolute mastery of what I just beheld. Talk about East meets West. Wow. That was stunning.
Lost too soon... I witnessed the Mandolin genius U Rajesh 3 nights ago... Imagine his agony... Lost brother 4 years ago & now Balabhaskar. Narayana, we need musicians on Earth not on Swarga.

did you all know that God loves the virtuosity. yes He does! and this is it. the pure and genuine virtuosity. yes it is... there is no other else to say, or coment about...
The fusion music emanating from Asia has been opened to me via Mohini Dey; I owe her big time! I've been a fan of The Mahavishnu Orchestra from the 70's. Jan Hammer was a mind bender! I'm so glad to hear fresh creativity is still growing in this vein! Mohini still amazes me every time I hear her play! As a bassist, I bow to her!
In the spirit of Shri Ganesh Utsav it's a fantastic east - west classical musical rendition by the young musicians, its an inspiration to the thousands of budding musicians around the world. Jai Shri Ganesh. Bula vinaka Bengaluru - From Fiji Islands.
Awesome fusion rendition!!! Mandolin Srinivasan and Bala Bhaskaran were so talented. What a loss to the music world. May their souls RIP. The percussionists were exceptional.
Wow!! It's awesome show Mohini and all the artistes, you were all the more amazing combination than ever, there is none like you people. I love to see your presentation that touches all hearts, it is no little thanks to you. Thank you so much. Keep going.
Every time I hear this video is just so exciting, I cant just focus on one sound, one instrument, everyone is just as good as the other. Awesome music guys! Love it
the violinist- well- all of them speak the language of God when God is feeling oh-so-groovy. I am re-captured every time I hear this. I understand that they are all superbly gifted in their instruments, but in this song it's the violinist that takes me to that place I can almost SEE the angels dancing. . .
This music is at a very high consciousness, truly!!! What intense , yet such positive and peaceful energy!!! I'm very sorry to hear that the extaordinarily gifted mandolin and violinist are not living in this dimension...I imagine they are probably playing in an angel band on high- Thank you so much for putting this on RU-vid!!! 🕊☺❤☺💚☺💙☺💜☮
Jeffrey Seagull mandolin artist rajesh is alive.... his brother famous mandolin u srinivas is no more.... violinist bala baskar died few months back...
Still getting goosebumps watching the violin king play. Remembering those days when i went to a radio inauguration show in Al Nasr Leisure land in Dubai and got vvip seats cause i know a singer personally who was performing for the show. And they let me into the backstage and i was so damn lucky to meet balachetan and speak to him. At that moment, Stephan Devassi chetan was performing on stage and benny dayal was there with us backstage. Back then in 2009, balachetan had long hair. Ah, those memories are still fresh even 10years later too. Our BIGGEST loss. Hope you're jamming with the angels up there Balachetaa. Love you Balabhaskar.

@@subhash.... Yes, that might be it. After all, this is fusion music. It's the contrast and interplay of the Carnatic and western elements (bass guitar and drums) that makes this performance so beautiful and exhilarating.
Actually that small guitar is a modified mandolin design. The artist is U. Rajesh. His brother U. Srinivas was a child prodigy and designed this kind of electric mandolin. He was a star classical carnatic musician when he was 9 years old. Unfortunately he passed away.
Brilliance Taken away in flash …. Balabhasker 😢😢 One of the most unique 4 min combo of bass ghatam and drums (10 to 14 mins). U Rajesh solo mixes elements of blues and Carnatic.
