I was reading reviews of the resort. Many people complained of bugs in the room and a sewer odor. Do you find that to be true? Also, have all the restaurants and bars opened now?

Mahekal is more romantic and a lot quieter... It is also in the center of Playa so you can always to out on 5th to some of the fabulous restaurants. The Fives is larger with a lot more activities, with more modern bedrooms.
Hey Ashley! You will have to grab the ferry from Cozumel over to Playa del Carmen. Then you can either walk down 5th Ave (20mins walk) or grab a cab from the ferry terminal (8mins drive). Enjoy!
