I visited this place 15 days back.Very pleasant location and a must for kids. Ideally located on the banks of Narmada.Its astonishing to watch the Marvel's by Ahilyabai. Being a lady her work on religious sentiments is commendable. It is pathetic to observe that we are not giving much importance for upkeep.Much delighted with the visit to this place.

I stayed there for a week. If you have a sadhana practice it is worth doing on those ghats. There are places to stay in the weaving community that I would recommend. Also take a boat across the river. There are things there off of the beaten path to see. The best food can be found near the bus station. I think it was some of the best thali I had in india. There is no plane from Indore to Maheshwar. I took a bus. Ujjain is also wonderful. I stayed there for a few days as well. Arti is beautiful

After watching the video, i booked the train tickets to Indore. Here is my program but have doubts. Day 1 : Arrive Ujjain & stay. Day 2 : Bhasmarti and proceed to Omkareshwar / Maheshwar Day 3 : Omkareshwar / Maheshwar **Which town has good connectivity? Day 4 : Proceed to Indore and stay Day 5 : Depart by train.

Glad that video is helpful for u...😊 If u r coming to indore then in day 1 stay at indore only. Visit local indore. Then in day2 go to ujjain and attend bhasmarti. U don't need 2 days for ujjain from indore. Then on same day leave ujjain and goto omkareshwar... Stay a night thr and do darshan in day3 and head towards maheshwar stay thr a night. And in day 4 u can go mandu which is also a very famous place in mp. Same day after mandu visit come back to indore and stay night. And in day 5 leave for ur place. . How to do a short trip to Indore, Ujjain, Omkareshwar and Maheshwar? (2 and half days only) Arrival 2nd Dec @10am and Departure 4th Dec @17hrs

Oohk... Wl tell u... On 2nd dec when u reach indore have poha jaleebi in ur b fast ( quite famous in indore) then directly goto ujjain and visit mahakal temple then come back to indore in the evening and visit some places in local indore like kanch mandir, rajwada palace, lalbaagh palace then goto sarafa bazar in night for ur dinner... Stay in a hotel. Then on 3rd dec - leave for Omkareshwar.. u wl reach thr in 2 hrs then visit temple and goto maheshwar in the noon... In maheshwar visit Ahilyabai fort, narmada ghat & watch sunset at narmada river, enjoy boating also. And if u have time then goto sahastradhara for sunset view. Then in night if u want come back to indore or stay in maheshwar only for 3rd dec night. On 4th dec - if u r starting frm maheshwar then come to indore via jamghat darwaza and choral dam (river for beautiful view) reach indore by 11 or 12 hrs... Visit some local indore till 5pm and leave for ur place. . Dont forget to buy namkeen frm indore and maheshwari sarees frm maheshwar... Hi, I am planning to visit Indore - Ujjain - Omkareshwar - Maheshwar with family on this October I want to know is there any public transportation available from Maheshwar to Omkareshwar or Omkareshwar to maheshwar??? And it's is possible to complete both places in same day from Indore (by taxi) also is there good stay available in affordable rates in omkareshwar or Maheshwar??

Hey hii Yes u wl get many public transport from maheshwr and omkareshwar and vice varsa... Just reach bus station of any place u wl get buses thr in every 1/2 hr... Then yes u can cover both places in one day but start ur day early.. first goto omkareshwar then go maheshwar and night stay in maheshwar

In maheshwar u have many things to viait but in omkareshwar u have only shiva temple... So in morning first reach omkareshwar then goto maheshwar... For stay u can check hotel devraj, kanchan palace

Hii shweta... Aap chattisgarh se phle indore aa ya yadi direct ujjain aa skte ho to ujjain chle jao and sbse pehle mahakal mandir visit kr lo... Fir local indore then aap jao omkareshwar and vha mandir visit krke same day phoch jao maheshwar, maheshwar fort dekho and if possible early evening me sahastradhara jao by boat and night stay in maheshwar only. Yadi same day sahastra dhara nhi ho paye to next day early morning me jao to see sunrise and vha se nikl jao mandu k liye ... Mandu visit krke sham tk aa jao indore and yadi indore me kuch reh gya ho ghumne k liye to yha dekh kar back to ur place. Har jagah aapko local transport mil jaeya to go one place to another.. of yadi aap khud ki vehicle se aa rhe he to it is very good. Yadi aap kahi bahar se aa rhe he to aapko pehle indore hi aana pdega... Ya aap khandwa aa skte he vha b railway station hai but uska distance maheshwar se jyada hai.... Indore maheshwar se bhot pas me hai only 90kms to aap aasani se maheshwar phoch skte hai.... Maheshwar and indore k bich me mhow, rau, dhamnod, ye sb aate he.

Hey hi.. day 1 vis ujjain, if u are able to do early morning darshan than move to mandu..i think for mandu you will need 5/6 hours.. if required stay at mandu... Else day one vis ujjain, by evening reach mandu and halt. Day two visit mandu and by afternoon having lunch , mov to maheshwar.. go to ghat and explore it.. boating in evening, its beautiful..halt at maheshwar. next day morning , post breakfast, move to omkareshwar. Be comfortable, visit omkareshwar. Next day morning do darshan, take dip in narmada river.. and fall back to indore for your return journey from indore..

My mother recently visited ujjain, the Mahakal Lok is very peaceful... Must spend time thr..few must do in MP, HAVE POHA JALEBI, kachori both dal ki and pyaz ki.. boating at maheshwar.. sit at bank of narmada after 10 in night in maheshwar.. its very peaceful... buy maheshwari saree.. Recommended hotel both at mandu and maheshwar is of MP tourism hotel.. beautiful property, if possible..

Maheshwar me aapko auto services mil jayenge... Vese bhot pas pas he sari chize vehicle ki requirement nhi hogi... And yadi aap kahi se taxi krke ja rhe he jaise Indore ya koi dusre place se to sidha fort tk chli jayegi taxi.

Mandu thr are some very good hotels.. MO tourism wala hotel is very good..if you go to Maheshwar then thr also MP tourism hotel is quiet awesome.. bang on the Narmada river. Worth a stay..
